so now they got DVD/ navi to be installed by the centres. so i suppose by getting that, our civics will be more or less like the navi variant.

what this dvd/navi does? got back camera like the navi variant? official product? or it just aftermarket product being installed by the technicians just to avoid any warranty issue afterwards?

Navi (5k more) includes Garmin GPS touch screen, bluetooth hands free and reverse camera... my SA just told me that there's 5-year warranty.. not sure you can get 5-year warranty if going for cheaper aftermarket...

From SA, its Navi come with reverse camera somethings like an OEM version where believed the vendor has strong cabling with these Honda branches. I'm waiting the SA to provide me the picture since day 1 mad.gif

I've tested K5 & sonata 2.0, the civic definitely was the winner in terms of acceleration
Yes i agree. K5 is sluggish for sure. Much heavier body.

Depends on what kinda unit... if OEM de usually its some CHina brand.

for 5k, you can buy a Pioneer top range 7" touch screen HU (2.8k), plus a navi box (800), plus reverse cam (200). Installation probably 200 (more then enough). So about 4k.....

Does it related in between what car he drive with the comment?
Yes it does. He will be using his current ride as a benchmark. Ppl also use various test drive cars as a benchmark too.

Just wonder why you need RM5k coverage, for me RM2k is good enough to balance the risk of occurance which far better than nothing. I would suggest to go for disaster coverage especially flood to divert the risk if you have buffer to go on. My2cents!

No need la, just get standard insurance + windshield is good enough. What for you want to play that extra RM500~600, unless you going to be parking in the Dataran Merdeka area alot which btw hasn't flooded out the carpark for the last 2 years at least, the chances of your car going to swim with the fishes is less than 1% I think.

Understood your point to benchmark the one rating rely on his current rided is somehow be true. But one give a high ranking must be some points that meet his preferences.

Even if void warranty, it will only void the audio portion, which is really no big deal. The mods you want to worry is anything that piggyback or related to the engine, those they can simply find something to say because of bad installation, the engine die or something.

I tell you if they really want to do that, they can. But it's too damn far fetched to say audio wiring problem so cause engine to die.

Anyway, I won't worry about the audio portion too much. Unlike European contis, I doubt the Honda car key is coded with all the car information in which they can immediately check your car info even without looking at the car. That's the beauty of a Japanese car, lots of mod potentials... ehehehe

My car windshield insurance only cost me RM690. My relative's Audi Q5 windshield insurance cost RM900. Is it logical for the Civic windshield insurance to cost RM500+? Perhaps NCD is taken in account, I'm not sure - you have to do more research yourself.
