heard no more Mybrain in 2016

budget cut by gov, so uni will somehow increase the fees, i remember the tuition fees increase double in this 5 years, might worsening soon

Anyone can confirmed next year no more mybrain?


If I apply November on mybrain, can I still eligible for the funding?

you can see the recent Budget report 2016, there is no budget allocated for Mybrain

Does it mean no point to apply the scholarship now? I c the website still active.

Was told they will stop accepting online application by 30nov. Those submit in November will processed in Dec. after Dec I think the whole Mybrain department will shut down

But, there is advertisement being published a couple days ago (Monday, Malay newspaper). My dilemma is now either register this semester or postpone to next semester, worrying about the term of sponsorship...

Anybody can helps? let say, if I manage to submit all those documents in next month (Nov), and fortunately to secure the award after two months later, do you think the scholarship will backdated to cover the current Uni semester?

my friend also saying that 30 nov. but now i tried call mybrain15, for 2 days in the role nobody answer the call.

i wanted to do MyPhD, i worry after i applied the Uni when submit to Mybrain they reject me.

I heard a case that d student applied in Dec, and fortunately to secure the scholarship after two months later. But, the term of sponsorship only started Jan. Yes, she still secure to have the Mybrain cover the ongoing semester (Sep-Feb), but get forfeited with the ESH for couple of months (I think 3-4 months)... 3 to 4 months shouldn be close to 10k, Haiz....

What happen if a phd student unable to complete his/her study in 3/4 years? Will the scholarship be terminated? There's no mention of this in the FAQ/contract. Just want to get clarification on this. It seems like they are not happy when one trying to extend the scholarship. I mean absolutely not happy, at least that was what I encountered.

So happen to meet the MyBrain officer face to face in my Uni, and the feedback from them is quite negative. For the new application, get ready to face the long waiting period instead of the common two months....

Still getting the uncertain answer for the fate of the scholarship on the next coming year.

@Strison, last week I have called mybrain for myphd. They told me better apply this month. For government staff application closed.

very low productivity. i changed university and they took 6 months to process.

met my supervisor yesterday. To my surprise, he said MyBrain will be continued. I ask him for his source, he said he heard from HitzFM radio the other morning. He did mention that he felt weird when they announce the budget 2016, MyBrain was not mention. But he say after hearing HitzFM announcement, MyBrain SHOULD continue next year.

But then take this with a pinch of salt. I duno how legit is the source.

and also my friend added me in 1 of MyBrain's group in fb. Not sure official or not.
