I am from paya rumput perdana... sending my daughter each day to convent at town... 18km only... 30km can go further down...  laugh.gif  laugh.gif  laugh.gif
give and take lor... bungalow with 450k, own land with better air and less traffic... in fact, stayed here 2 years, most of our activities are at merdeka permai and malim , which is about 10km from my exact location... so, for me, still ok... somemore, we got tesco here (about 2km) ... so, to get anything is still consider convinient...
Besides, since I stayed in Kl for the last 20 years... to travel 18km daily (4 times - morning up down, afternoon up down) is still ok on my side... those days, my whole family used to travel about 30km to klang just for a meal frequently too... in short, traffic and distance for me is so much better compares to kl... and since we stayed hectic for the past 20 years, I prefer outskirt...

Honest... maybe we really used to travelling in KL, so anything less than 30km for us is really nothing with malacca "smooth" traffic ... imagine... those days in puchong, wanna send my daughter to kindergarden with range of 10km... damn, easily more than half an hour... sometimes, took about an hour if heavy rain or accident ... doh.gif doh.gif

what if i were to consider those bungalows as a sort of retirement home.
i buy it now but maybe only stay like 20-30 years down the road.
would i be able to rent it out?

18-30km to melaka town is fine as long as there isn't heavy traffic.
i was thinking of this area because the price is right and away from the congested town as it has become a sort of melting pot for sinky and malaysian family's for weekend meetups.

one of my concerns is utilities.
they have pos office, telco office, etc. nearby to do payments?

Properties in Melaka easy to rent out? Especially in the case of bungalows?
I'm kind of in doubt as genuine family that have the budget to rent a bungalow but cannot afford to buy their own house is far and between

ha, bro.. frankly, not my concern at all.. but, my home ministry very attracted to the points u mentioned... doh.gif doh.gif doh.gif if given choice, I would rather send her to the school in front of our main entrance in paya rumput perdana, which is about 1km... laugh.gif laugh.gif laugh.gif laugh.gif

utilities not a big issues, bro... post office, telco, etc all got... and with the bungalow already equipped with unifi, I guess paying utilities not an issue at all...
but, to bought it for the sake of staying after 20 years later would be a big doubt for me... after all, I only seen one unit rented out in my area... and the rental of RM1500 is not really appealing, although it is slightly higher than FD.... main issue is... it's not easy to rent out, I guess... most of the houses that were bought for investing here are mostly left behind and the owner will come to stay once a while... yawn.gif yawn.gif

nod.gif nod.gif nod.gif agreed, bro... I think renting out in melaka properties are really tough with current over supply situation... shakehead.gif shakehead.gif
u have a good point here... those who can afford to rent a bungalow theoretically should be able to pay monthly installment for it... so, why rent it?
Furthermore, to maintain a bungalow is not cheap... take the grass planted as good example.. I am spending roughly RM 200 each month to maintain it...

but, yup, u got a choice to save all kind of troubles in long run.... to take care a garden with landscape is never an easy job... it needs time and dedication...
for my side... since all my customers are mostly in kl, I travel to kl once or twice in a month... from melaka to kl, is really sup sup sui... so, it's a good meeting point, no doubt thumbup.gif
