Why are we still talking about Torres?

Becoz our main striker now still can't score goal as him does and didn't have a pretty face. Period.

Well, at least our main striker isn't on a 4 month goal drought.

Probably has more goals than ladyboy himself.

if he got his confidence back,he'll be a messiah for chelsea..and one more thing,he cant score if the supply sucks!

Well, why I say so because, as u said, GrandElf, he just left us during critical time. His performance is so well and so consistent in the squad, he know he can fight for the starting XI, ain't? But he just left like that just because other club able to offer what he want.

Argh whatever la, it's pointless to talk about other players rather than our own player. haha!

Sometimes is like that one, once u got form, no matter how u kick the ball, the ball will stil go in to the net. But if u no have form, no matter how well u play, the ball will nvr go in to the net one.

sturridge not same as torres..he can dribble unlike torres..for torres u need to give him one on one with keeper..only then he'll score..as long as he got the confidence laaa

It's time to get over Torres and focus with Suarez and Andy Carroll's partnership.

The last game gave a glimpse of what the strike partnership can bring. Hope to a better partnership for more games to come.

What leaves a sour tastes in the mouths of many Kopites isn't that he requested for a transfer though that would have been bad enough. It's that he requested for a transfer just 3 weeks after pledging his loyalty and immediate future to the club. He went back on his word. He left because he felt the club went back in it's promise on building a title winning side. He felt the club was sliding backwards despite the signing of Suarez, appointment of Dalglish and arrival of John Henry and his merry bunch. One would have thought that this was a statement of intent from the club, to build not just a team, but a club who would compete for major honours. All this does suggest that in the end, he left for more money. I don't think we can blame players for coming and going these days. All we can ask is that they be honest. Having said that he didn't do a McManaman and leave us for free. I still remember him fondly and I loved doing the Torres bounce and chanting his song whenever he scored. However, I don't know if I can ever trust him again.

I need to set this straight. When Meireles was signed by Roy Hodgson he took a paycut but was promised an increment at the end of the season. However as luck (for us anyway) would have it, Tom & Jerry bailed, leaving John Henry in charge. The latter had a different vision for the club, preferring to invest in high potential young players rather than ageing established stars. Hence he was told that he would not be getting an increment in light of the new wage bill. So, what exactly did he do wrong? Get your facts straight mate.

WTF??Meireles left us during critical time?Define critical time pls. During that time when Meireles left, we have enough cover for him in adam, henderson, spearing and shelvey (packing in CM) while during torres left who do we have in cover?As I remember there is only Ngog and maybe Kuyt?

And if u did watch his performance during early in the season (eg. during the arsenal game where we won 2-0), KD substitute him in and we score 2 goal indirectly from his link-up play with suarez (he provide an assist somemore for suarez goal) and the next game he is back in the bench again....from that moment, I guess every1 know KD prefer to use his own signing (henderson and adam) rather than him anymore even though he perform better than them.....so tell me, will u still be staying at the club??

and also due to reason where Duke stated......still a Judas for u?

Btw, no use talking about others' team player anymore....better concentrate on our own player.....

Not forgetting the fact that we are out of Europe and Chelsea are still in the Champion's League with a new Portuguese manager.

Another reason why he left it so late is because Meireles was a second-choice signing by Chelsea. It was only after the Modric deal was called off that Chelsea made a move for Meireles. I believe the club was already in negotiation with Chelsea before the season started, so despite what you claim, we were already prepared for his departure.

Meireles had already worked with AVB when both of them were in Porto. Guess it was inevitable for them to rejoin forces again.

Meireles was a good back up for Liverpool in CM and sorely missed him when Lucas was injured.

i thought this was chelsea thread. been a year already. still discussing bout torres. move on guys. discuss bout AC and LS instead. peace.

Speaking of Torres, he's wanted on loan by high-flying West Ham.

Both Torres and Meireless were both ex-Liverpool player, nothing wrong for us to discuss about them. In case you didnt know, Anelka was an ex-Liverpool player too
