QUOTE(barca96 @ Feb 21 2012, 12:21 AM) Guys, me.. 1 year++ already.. never drop my phone yet.. Is this phone fragile? As in, once it drops, what will be damaged? I am planning to get a used unit and Im pretty sure the previous owner dropped his phone before, who doesn't So what are the after effects of a drop? Thanks well if it was a normal drop.. i don't think it will effect the phone.. it's depend on how it drop and which part.. usually the hardware inside will not get any effect.. maybe you should check the screen, sounds, mic, and camera if u wanna buy a 2nd hand one This post has been edited by gajahwhite: Feb 21 2012, 12:40 AM |

weird.. it never happen to me..
btw.. for those who want to fix their GPS, can follow this.. i just found this formula and already applied to my phone, so far so good 1) go to /system/etc/ 2) backup gps.conf (copy paste) 3) edit gps.conf 4) follow the input as below NTP_SERVER=asia.pool.ntp.org XTRA_SERVER_1=0.my.pool.ntp.org XTRA_SERVER_2=1.asia.pool.ntp.org XTRA_SERVER_1=3.asia.pool.ntp.org SUPL_HOST=supl.google.com <<---- default (didn't touch anything here) SUPL_PORT=7276 <<---- default (didn't touch anything here) btw.. i use Root Explorer apps, and it make us able to view & edit .conf file This post has been edited by gajahwhite: Feb 23 2012, 02:41 AM |

QUOTE(Harddisk @ Feb 23 2012, 08:34 AM) How you all managed to get ICSSGS working ah? I flashed twice, stuck at Samsung GT-I9000 screen. This is what i did..First was recovery flash from CM7. 2nd time I flashed to stock XXJVT and CWM it, then recovery flash again. Ended up now I'm on CM9. Not that I'm complaining. Feature sets by CM9 are just unbeatable. 1) Flash Stock XXJVU [via odin] 2) Run phone & Turn it off back & went back to Download Mode 3) Flash CF-Root Kernel [via odin] (just to get CWM) 4) Run phone & reboot into CWM 5) Wipe data/factory reset [via cwm] 6) Wipe cache partition [via cwm] 7) Flash ICSSGS [via cwm] 8) Run phone & reboot into CWM 9) Flash Semaphore Kernel [via cwm] 10) Done.. |
