anyone know the proper way to change from HackSung ICS to ICSSGS?
*
just want to share my method.. and i always do like this to flash any rom..

1) Flash to Stock ROM XXJVU [via odin]
2) Flash kernel [via odin] (i choose CF-root - just to make CWM available)
3) Flash ICSSGS RC4.2 [via CWM]
4) Run the phone & reboot to CWM back
5) Flash Semaphore kernel [via CWM]

for ICSSGS, before flashing the ROM.. need to do "wipe data/factory reset" & "wipe cache partition" 1st.. smile.gif

CM9 is really great. Performance really good, even compared with CM7. In fact, it's better than CM7 so far.

Only minor glitch on camera when changing picture resolution would FC the camera. No radio app though. Everything else seems working fine so far.

Really really shiok! Stupid Sammy for not releasing ICS for SGS, which actually improves the performance overall.

Oh ya, I am using Live Wallpaper too.

Ivan113:

I did the steps to flash THS to Onecosmic or onecosmic to THS.

1) wipe data, wipe cache, wipe dalvik
2) flash the ROM
3) For THS, continue flashed the remaining packages
4) reboot.

that it.

Any quick tips on getting my battery mod done for CM9 teamhacksung ROM?

Built-in feature for displaying battery percentage doesn't work. sad.gif

EDIT: TS, can kindly remove the wipe batterystat.bin trick, which was proven to be an urban legend by a statement done by 1 of the Android developer from Google?

Market doesn't recognise CM9 as ICS device, can't install Chrome browser. sad.gif

Guys,

Is this phone fragile?
As in, once it drops, what will be damaged?
I am planning to get a used unit and Im pretty sure the previous owner dropped his phone before, who doesn't smile.gif
So what are the after effects of a drop?

Thanks

me.. 1 year++ already.. never drop my phone yet.. biggrin.gif
well if it was a normal drop.. i don't think it will effect the phone.. it's depend on how it drop and which part.. usually the hardware inside will not get any effect.. maybe you should check the screen, sounds, mic, and camera if u wanna buy a 2nd hand one smile.gif

i went directly from 2.4.0 so no need for XXJVU first.

here is my report after i changed the kernel from the default ICSSG RC4.2 to semaphore

1- Finally the phone is usable.
2- speed, yes good one.
3- Battery life is much much better.

i found one bug which caused the phone to reboot. "cropping image" to use for single pic in photo gallary widget.
