Purchased some stuff from HLJ during the Paypal promotion period. Surprisingly, HLJ didnt even put in any shipping charges; hence there's not as they claim as "charge shipping, later refund back to paypal account" thingy. Mebbe that clause only apply to those set up new paypal account.

Dear all, how do you proof to kastam that no payment for shipping is charged for HLJ's promo. Credit card statement? Palpay payment? The invoice on the box sure don't help, as freight charges is/was never printed.

Ok, one way to proof is the updated invoice on the website,..... any more solid proof??.....

actually i encounter the same problem. the officer refuse to believe me that there's no shipping charges at all; cause in the printed invoice, hlj didnt put down anything

At the end i showed them the online invoice where hlj clearly stated "shipping = 0". Mebbe u need to print a copy of the online invoice if u r not bringing your laptop there

Please wait at least 2 week. No worry.

The invoice should be attached to the package. So this is ur first time your package attracted customs' attention ?

Veteran in visiting custom office... The invoice as attached is not the latest, the one issued on the day of shipping on your hlj account's is the last/latest invoice (with shipping cost added in). Invoice as attached to the package states the shipping as 0 yen (no different from last invoice for the paypal promo, hence the argument to proof that there are no shipping cost incurred for the promo).

As the standard practice of the Custom/Post office is to add the list of invoice's price (as attached with stated 0 yen shipping) and the EMS price as stated on the EMS sticker/label. My argument is that the cost was borne by the payment of the goods (with paypal payment proof), luckily the EMS cost is below the value of the goods, but just barely. If the shipping cost is more than goods, it'll be a big counter to my argument, and another approach would be needed then ....

p.s. free shipping promo argument does not work.

Hi,

Got a few questions here, hope that you all can assist: tongue.gif

1. Does anyone know what is the taxable amount on toys in Malaysia?
2. If using EMS to ship a toy value at RM600, will the custom still tax you?

1. 15%... or effectively 15.5%....
2. Yes, value + shipping at RM500 or more

I guess, every customs office is different. So far dealing with Penang customs been pleasant for me.

But I do notice the stamp in my parcel release form :
Any taxable item which is less than RM 500 under "Butiran 172, Perintah Duti Kastam [Pengecualian]1988 dan Butiran 90, Perintah Cukai Jualan [Pengecualian]2006" is exempted from taxation.".

The less than RM500 rules is under the following :
"Butiran 172, Perintah Duti Kastam [Pengecualian]1988 dan Butiran 90, Perintah Cukai Jualan [Pengecualian]2006" is exempted from taxation."

Would not recommend any forumers to get computer, electronics and tele communication devices via online and ship to your house.

It is due to :
1. You will need to apply for Approved Permit for the devide.
2. You need to get approval from SIRIM.

Should any one of the above fails, your item will be "shipped back" to the merchant.

Not sure, never deal with them. But based on the contact from the domain name, it seems to be operated by local Malaysian.

Perhaps you may give it a try, you never know that it could be a good source. smile.gif
