Just placed a pre-order with teencom hopefully they don't screw me.
Cancle my HLJ pre-order.

As for BWH Kastam I saw them dispalying all the things they rampas ( guns, parang, Dildo, plastic vagina, 2 elvis dolls ( I guess becasue you can undress them so kena rampas, a wodden artistic figure resembling a man and a woman kissing(that also can rampas shakehead.gif), Porn DVD) So I said to myself when the figure you are ordering is on the borderline and it gives these Hillbillies a bit of erection, then they will take it.

Dude you can get this online in Malaysia, the local prices are alomost the same with buying outside of Malaysia. If you take into account the risk and methods they use to bring these figures in. Do you really want to argue with customs infront of other people about the Bome figure's underwear blush.gif
Remember the shop guys have to bride the Kustoms and make some profit.

Our goverment policy is driving up prices for all goods and services.
We have no choice until next election to show them our disatisfaction flex.gif

Anyone has the experience that his shipment has been detained by custom?
My case is I used EMS and when I track online, is written poste restante.
How to settle that?
I heard there are two versions of saying:

1. You will get a notification letter, then go to post office to pay the custom tax. Then they will give you the item.

2. You will have to go the HQ in KL to pay and get the item.

Which version is the correct one?
And how many % do they charge on the tax?

If detained by customs and u from Klang Valley..mostly is option 1.
need to go to Cargo nearby KLIA to collect the items.
tax for toys around 15% but sometimes might be more. Cheers.

Well, after I call to post office, is actually they cant reach me as no one at home....
So, they just return to post office and leave the message Poste restante in the EMS tracking website......
So, is actuualy I scare myself......
So, dont worry if next time you saw this kind of thing.....

I just receive my package from HLJ, I used EMS this time.
No customs checks. It arreived at K.L customs on the 22-April and I receiveed it on the 23-April at Perai, Penang at my house and no need to deal with customs
For Item using EMS less than RM500 no tax.
I calculated
Item + EMS is much cheaper than
Item + SAL + custom tax (15% of Item + SAL).
Plus with EMS no dealing with customs too.
I'd recomend EMS but better do the calculation

Ya, agree.....
I have tried myself that using SAL for one shipment and EMS for another shipment.....
Using SAL one, although is cheaper but my whole box kemek, damn sad.....
But EMS, everything is in good condition and secured......
But I believe custom tax doesnt related to either EMS or SAL, right?
The custom will hold your item if your shipment is big and easy to catch their attention, right?
I wanna know that as well......
And some say if you claim that shipment as handcraft and not toy, then u might be able to escape from tax.....
Anyway, I dont have proof on that.....

If you are using SAL and total Item Price + SAL shipping you'll be charge by customs 15% of total Item Price + SAL shipping. Customs will detain your package for this tax money, ask you to oepn the box in public. Take the item out to inspect it. Then fill out some form. GIve you the box and form to go and see the head officer. The head officer will spend another 20 min typing on his computer then give you the total tax. Then you take your box with the bill to the counter and pay. yawn.gif

If you are using EMS and if Item Price + EMS shipping less than RM500 customs will not charge you tax( I confirm this with customs head officer)this a fact and most likely will bypass check as no money in it for them.
If they do catch EMS it is most likely it looks big and expensive more than RM500.

P.S my item was declared as toys and it did not get taxed.
It just got a stamed dilepaskan oleh Kastoms on the box and thats all.

No idea on the difference on SAL and Air Mail.
But about how long does SAL takes to reach Malaysia is 2-5 weeks.
My SAL shipment needs 2 weeks to arrive.

If u care about the box condition (I mean the hobby kits box), dont go for SAL. Use EMS......

Just got my seond figure from HLJ using EMS 4 days total arrived at my home. No customs detain at all. EMS is the way to go for me. SAL to much hassel with customs about checking anf tax and takes too long too.

Just read this somewhere an it makes sense.

Priority International Shipping (or EMS) will estimate and collect an Import Fees Deposit, and such funds will be used by the carrier or another agent to pay the Import Fees on behalf of you (or the recipient) to the appropriate authorities of the destination country.

I guess that why (SAL + Item) + 15% tax of total almost equals to (EMS + item).
(EMS + item) seems to be cheaper by RM20-RM30.
