i am thinking of getting digi 1GB data plan, since they have promotion this month,RM38 but  we still have to pay for calls and sms
*
you can try U-Mobile's plan, not bad. RM28 each month , Prepaid got 500MB data with 30 free sms and 100minutes free call , Postpaid got 1GB data and 100 or 200 free sms but no free talktime. The speed not bad and after exceeding the limit , you can still use it but the speed is sweat.gif

haha i plugged in first only press the "Connect via USB". Now it works...

Sorry cos in the Symbian days you need to just plug in and it is done. Android I guess is 'smarter'.

Thanks a lot for the help guys!

You need iPhone with iCloud storage.

Me, on the other hand, prefer to listen to streaming radio and let it surprise me with new songs I may like smile.gif

My digi not always in good 'mood' especially in my campus which is like a hidden valley that blocked digi signal. In fact... all telco signal is bad in my campus... And... streaming radio need keep on data. Battery drain sure like water... Why do i need icloud? With the amount of money i need to top up for iphone, I can get... 128GB MicroSD perhaps(when it's here tongue.gif ) Just sharing. I'm not sure whether the promotion is still on!

Anyone of you want cloud storage like dropbox, you can get Box from market. Register free account and they give 50GB cloud storage for life! (Not sure whether it's still going on). You can access through the App on your phone. Or through webpage, just go to box.com or something. I find it quite nice. Now doing assignments. Making a backup over there. Can choose to upload new version. It will stack up and mark it as V2. Found it quite useful.

Flac, aka Free Loseless Audio Codec (Wrong? I don't care). The main point here is it's lossless, comparing to lossy(loss a lot) in MP3. So... Do you think its size will be smaller? Answer is NO way. Single flac file is about 30~45MB for a song of length 4mins+- compared to 5MB in MP3.

All smartphones are useless without dataplan.. hahahaha..
But tell u the truth, i'm feeling like i went overboard with getting the digi RM68 data plan, my usage of daily FB & some downloads & streaming never reach the allocated 3gb quota..  sweat.gif
When i am at the office & at my home i uses the wifi connection more.. demmmm  laugh.gif

First month i used 1.4GB. Second month 800MB... thumbup.gif Waste but... nvm la. Already sign package.

is there any ways to disable packet data without turn it off again?

i've turn-off the packet data but when everytime i unlock my phone then it turn-on automatically. my phone credit reducing ehh icon_question.gif

The problem solved? Normally only battery saver apps like juice defender can enable it. Like... enable data when screen is on (one of the option is juice defender)

Yes if your contact in your phone have same phone number as your Facebook friend in the condition that they make their phone number available in Facebook. I'm not sure about email address though. I synced my Facebook contact and now I have some of my friends with their Facebook profile pic as contact pic in address book. Just download the Facebook apps or just sign in your Facebook in social hub then you can choose to sync them under accounts. My calendar also have all the birthdays of my Facebook friends. Not that bad. laugh.gif

Not true. Without data plan, smartphone still allows you to use offline apps, play games, use GPS, read eBooks, take notes, take good pics, watch movie, listen to songs, or whatever.

erm, how the heck do we root Galaxy W from the stock recovery?
here's what i did:-
1) download the update.zip from xda forum
2) put the file in the internal sdcard folder
3) power off phone
4) press Vol + and Home button AND HOLD IT and press the power button
5) when the Samsung logo comes out, I release the power button and still holding on the Vol + and Home button
6) then the little droid coming out of the box logo comes out
7) then I press the menu button once and it shows a few lines of text
8) then it automatically reboot
9) my reaction

6.5) As soon as you see the Android with the box, release the Home- and Volume Up-button.
7) press the menu button, the droid-out-of-the-box will gray out (dim)
