Yup u can, i just copy all the things inside my 8gb mem card to my new 16gb and it works

Guys, this may have been asked before, but when I connect the phone to my pc via USB, how to make Windows detect it like a thumbdrive? I already have 16GB SD

go to settings>wireless and networks>usb utilities>connect storage to pc

Already did but still the drive is not appearing in My Computer.

Maybe faulty micro USB cable. Try another cable & USB port.

setting/application/development/untick the usb debugging

then plug in to ur computer.

Notification says USB connected but I don't see anything on My Computer. Debug mode is unticked by default.

edit: slide the notification bar and tap "usb connected" then connect usb storage

you need to set this first, then only plug in ur USB, remember follow the sequence.

settings>wireless and networks>usb utilities>connect storage to pc

Agree with game4life, did u install KIES or the samsung driver on ur pc 1st?

haha i plugged in first only press the "Connect via USB". Now it works...

Sorry cos in the Symbian days you need to just plug in and it is done. Android I guess is 'smarter'.

if you want an easy way, just enable usb debugging. whenever you connect your phone via usb cable, just slide down the notification bar and connect usb storage. you don't have to go to the settings anymore.
