Which rom do you want to try? Why not just support Cow's rom and we can do together.

Do a nand backup before you begin.

nand backup is for just in case something goes wrong, or if u don't like cow's rom, then you flash back to the original, meaning the one you are using now.
but my problem is when i was trying the new rom then sms and phone calls came, but when i flash back to my stock rom, i forgot to make copy of the new sms and contact.

so be careful.

After rooting and enabled recovery using [RECOVERY] ClockworkMod v5.5.0.4, I don't see any CWM icon. How do I go into recovery mode?

send imei number to samsung to check warranty. I know DG is PC (imei) then send to 62002.

(2)I try to reinstall my sms and mms, contacts etc using mybackup pro. But during restore, it says
Error: I/O error: Unable to write to SD Card. Make sure the SD Card is inserted properly.
This is because 3 layers of memory now Cow changed to 2 layers? Just a guess.

This is how nandroid is used. I have encountered problem restoring my sms, mms, so now I will use cwm to restore back to my original situation (stock rom), which is a type of nandroid backup. After that, I can get back to my sms that I need.

well, i try a lot of free apps from market and other places, and then those xda/forum apk... who knows? Just a check to see if there is such a need todate. We don't need when no one is writing viruses, but that does not mean someone could not start a droid virus. Maybe an employee in google android got denied of his promotion, and started his own vengeance?!! silly me.

I hv been using EgisMobile, scans thru all new downloads and installation, so far nothing detected. Was wondering if I need to keep it or delete it.
