what difference does it make ? That 1% - 2%  doh.gif
*
It does. It makes me goes crazy... My friend HTC Desire S unplug for 8 hours, made calls and SMS still got 97% when I see his phone this morning. mine unplug when i sleep, wake up already less than him. I don't want la cry.gif

QUOTE(kevintth @ Feb 13 2012, 04:00 PM)
ya lo... it doesn't make sense at all just vibrate and alarm wont cause ur battery drain so fast on idle mode some more. How is the phone when it is not on idle mode? Battery die even faster? Check your background apps.
*
biggrin.gif Maybe he set alarm every minute and the vibrator continues to vibrate throughout the hour and he still can't wake up? laugh.gif

im on paid sygic and galaxy w, mine gps locked very fast ... make sure u untick the wifi method for location detection, and use gps instead.

thanks.
*
SYGIC does locks based on ROUGH POSITION (Based on 'Location Services'. Cell tower/wifi) while Papago requires EXACT LOCK on Satellite. Even though not accurate based on so called Location Services(Google location? Something like that) But it at least give you a rough idea where you are on the map. Papago no fully fixed GPS signal=never lock.

Standby battery drain or screen on battery drain? If standby battery drain, try installing BBS and monitor for wakelocks

Hello guys, I am having a little problem with my phone GPS...

I am using Sygic, but when my phone (galaxy W) try to getting the GPS signal, its very very slow... it takes very long to get all the signal... and sometimes when moving the signal will lost... its very hard for my phone to detect GPS signal...

However, my GF using Galaxy mini at the same time with me, she can get the GPS signal within 2 minutes... but mine still have to wait for signal for very long....
Can anyone help me solve this?

you can know which app is causing wakelocks by looking at the partial wakelocks. wakelock is something that's preventing your phone to enter deep sleep mode and the app is draining your battery

My new ROM is up. Codename: Cow in Black. Available in both OC and non-OC.

- 360MB ram
- New CPU governors - OnDemandX, SmartAssV2, MinMax
- zRAM
- All Black theme

If you are upgrading from any of my previous ROM, just use CWM to install it, no need clear anything. Keep all your settings and App.

If you are installing it from stock ROM or other custom ROM, recommended to do this before installing:

1. Format both Internal and External SD card (my ROM swap internal / external sd, if u dont format, could cause problem)
2. Use CWM to clear all cache, wipe system, etc

After installing my ROM:
- Do not restore anything app from Titanium or anything. Install all app fresh.

Enjoy more RAM, more Speed!
