Just stepped into NEX world with a NEX-C3. Wow, I love the panorama function.

A question - is anyone here using Canon EF/EFS lens with their NEX? using the EOS-E mount adapter? I have a Canon EF 50mm 1.8 and was thinking to try it with my NEX... but just wonder if the image quality can be close to the Sony SEL50F18?

No where EF 50 1.8 come close to SEL 50 F18.
and I'm not sure using adapter can close the aperture of EF lens.
As EF lenses designed not like the way you see Nikon F mount lenses.

EF 50 1.4  has 2/3 stop light more than the sony one.
but you i doubt u will use 1.4 as it's not as sharp at wide open.

well since u put EF lens on NEX body, it wont auto focus either.
i prefer to have auto focus.

hey guys, need help with importing pictures to PC. i accidentally deleted the imported pic and now the importer program wont import the pic from my nex5n again. how do i reimport the pic? i prefer using the importer since it makes the file smaller than the original.. anyone knows? thanks

hi all, just want to ask - how often or when do you guys use the SEL16F28 lens? I've been using mainly the 1855 only, can took some sample shots between both to compare but can't see much benefits other than slightly wider angle and probably just a bit more compact. I don't think the SEL16 gives sharper photos compared to the 1855....

Hi guys! First time checking in as new owner of NEX 7 + black 18200 LE! Pls put me in the owner list

My original plan is to get the nex7 with CZ 24mm.. but 24mm no stock everywhere.. and the shop manage to convince me to get the 18200LE for my trip. The lens look surprisingly good and proportionate on the nex7, especially with the black finish. I didnt get the kit lens set because my gf already has a kit lens on her C3. So I can use her pancake + kit.

I need some opinion here. I am still thinking to get a prime lens. I love to shoot prime. Do you think I should just stick to the cz24mm idea.. or should I go for some other manual lens... such as the voigtlander 35mm F1.2 /F1.4 I think the cost is almost similar.. I dont mind manual focus as long as the photo taken has nice character to it. Is the CZ really the best choice? Actually I kinda hate the CZ to be in 24mm instead of 35mm. 24mm a bit wide for my liking.

You're supposed to half-press, let it auto-focus, then turn the ring.

Keep half-pressing it to keep it in DMF mode. If you let go of the shutter, and half-press again, it will auto-focus again.

You could set centre instead of the flexi spot.

Flexi spot will be effective if u tell the camera where you want to focus, nex 5n could point the focus point by touching the screen, it will AF or DMF when you tune the ring.  Flexi point will better if your objective not in middle.

can anyone teach me how to use extension tube? i bought from ebay, use MD-nex adapter and a manual 50mm 1.7 lens.

Using M mode, but problem is no matter how i turn the focusing ring, it stay focus infinity, all things blur, including things as far as from another side of living room...

already done that, not aperture problem, my problem is cant focus...no matter how i turn the focus ring on the lens it cant focus, all blur...

Release without lens ON, i wonder which setting is wrong...
