by the way, never before did i hear insurance company cover "tinted"..i only know tinted shop cover their own tinted...

hey babysmile...my car now working...root cause -> 12V battery dead
so confirm the alarm sound that trigger was an alert that the battery going to dead soon(in 5 minutes)..consider our Insight quite "intelligent"..

call my insurance and they come over to JUMPSTART for me..
then drive to Honda service center and replace it...claim warranty..lucky 2 year warranty for 12V battery

p/s - battery dead on my car 1 year + 1 day old

What if it is installed at Honda SC since they also sell foot light and illuminated side step?
Mm...dome light, is it also including the dashboard illuminated meter when door is opened?
I definitely need a side step because it is so easily get scratch without it.

With or without illumination is almost same price, illuminated is much more convenient and nice at night.mm....Any advice?

yes it can change to 195 is all depending on the rim width. If i'm not mistaken insight rim 16" is 6.5J (meaning 6 1/2" wide).

can get 195/50 R16 and not 195/55R16.....u cant simply change the tire size....it will make the speed meter inaccurate and more fuel consumption..

from 185/55r16 to 195/55r16  So when your speedo reads 70mph, you're actually travelling at 71.26
from 185/55r16 to 195/50r16  So when your speedo reads 70mph, you're actually travelling at 69.03
from 185/55r16 to 205/50r16  So when your speedo reads 70mph, you're actually travelling at70.18

u can either use 195 or 205, but my advice is use 195, because insight rim is 6.5J or 6J wide like i mentioned above. If use 205 the wheel will look fat and too wide for the rim and consume more fuel. For 205 the ideal rim size 16" width is 7j and above.

I thought this should be the case, ie. holding the car before we press the gas paddle. But it seems that my wife's car will drop without holding

you have the kinda of same problem as @kelvin_hata. What do you change recently during the service ?

He just change the inside air filter, engine oil and oil filter and have this problem. maybe can you check the air filter to see is it fit properly which i suggest him as well on this. I am not sure is it @ongdennis mentioned about this issue.

Tell the Honda SC confirm not normal. Why suddenly is 400-500rpm and not normal 900-1k rpm? can you share which Honda SC advise so I can put the info on the first page.

However, i did notice if i set the temperature around 26-28degree, at night or when its rain outside, the temperature was not as cold as i felt during the day.

This morning while I was stucked in the jam on a small hill (the tropicana road cutting out to BU and Kayu Ara, if some of you guys may know where it is), it went auto stop at the uphill (which is normal).  Yet, when I switched from pressing the brake and immediately to throttle with gear D, my car gone backwards!!  Twice!  Twice it happened when I was trying to move forward, and I had to switch the gear to S to move forward.  The kelisa behind was honking me like hell (as if she was shouting out loud:" Oy! are you sleeping?").  Oh, I felt so embarrased!  I thought our car has this creep and hill assist?    Somemore, mine is a FL!

Help! Do you guys have this problem?

checked with 2 SC but not solution. 

Have a read, it talks about honda's built in maintenance reminder.
And more importantly, based on this, our actual service maintenance should be much lower.

This is honda's built in feature, and it should be supported by honda themselves... however, I reckon if follow this, I should still be in my 2nd service, instead of my 4th service now! 50% service reduction~

What do you guys think? Should we highlight this and bring up to the service center? If they say will void warranty, can we legally challenge their claim of warranty void? Since we're just following the function that's made by honda to help us save cost, and save the environment too.

thx for sharing  ...will find sometime to DIY it on my car...the whistling sound is really annoying.
Currently in Actmar Klang service center...just sent in my car for 25k service..
good thing about this SC is that they would informally allow the extension of 1-2 k mileage if running on full sync engine oil instead of being strict on the 5k mileage of service interval..
my car mileage clocked 27k for the service this round and the SC had no issue when I told them I would probably comeback for my next service when my car clocks around 33-34k mileage

Breakdown of the cost for the 25k service as below:

1.) SM 0W-20 Full Sync Oil for Hybrid: RM120 (got it from the retailer outside)
2.) Engine Oil Filter: FOC on the 3rd consequtive service with this SC. They will FOC wheel alignment and balancing service on the 4th service.
3.) Drain washer: RM2.00
4.) Labour charge: RM 58.11

The only bad thing about this SC is that they always try to overcharge me by incurring additional items for car service which are not mandatory. In my previous 20k service, they have included the change of CVT gear oil which I found out is not mandatory after that. This time, they tried pushing me to include the additional charges for aircond servicing (cost around RM200).

Of course, after learning the mistake from the previous service, I have asked them to confirm if this is being part of the mandatory items to be included in the service maintenance for car warranty...The answer is NO...So, I have politely rejected it..
