Your are right.  hmm.gif  Check again and found that the hole have foam inside and is dry.  ohmy.gif Recheck the wet carpet and found no solution where it is. Even check the top part. Finally when to SC just in case  icon_question.gif , luckily my SA is around and not much car servicing. A foreman was there to check the fault and he found it. He show me that the rubber came off or didn't put correctly. He say is very common due to careless of other foreman outside SC. They even use the car wash spray to spray on the bonnet to see whether it will leak or not. After that my SA ....blah blah blah  rclxub.gif a lot about doing mod outside will cost this. He even told me that the reverse camera that others do and not properly seal the rubber causing water leak inside the trunk. So insider's be careful  rclxms.gif
So my advice to all insight who mod LED or other wiring, please check that the rubber seal that other foreman do does not do the same mistake.  biggrin.gif

It's normal, happens to me quite often after I let the gas goes, and cruise into my parking/red light for example. I think it's a smart feature though.... but can be annoying if you intend to step on the gas at that moment.

I have been doing the FORCE RECHARGE for the past 1 year, every month I do a full charge. Until just recently in which I've reported, this happened. I've tried doing the force recharge, but it didn't help. Force recharging during this period (when I noticed the problem with the IMA battery), actually took longer to fill up to full than it used to, I did force recharge for nearly 15-18minutes, to be able to get it to full, which normally just takes (5-8 minutes to get it maybe from lvl 3-lvl 6 (full)). One time, it needed 10 minutes of force recharge to get it from lvl 5 to lvl 6 (assuming lvl 6 bar is full bar).

After charging it to full, it only lasts until the battery level drops and it will start to give you problems again. I've tried force recharging it again and again. Until I gave up and went to the SC to make a complaint.

I have no doubt and absolutely sure (from experience) that updating/formating the system did solve the problem. My ride is  still going strong on my IMA meter like how it did when it was new. No sudden drops nor sudden surges in battery meter. I do not know why some SCs do not provide this service, I guess its best that if you have a problem like this, and you want it permanently solved, get to a SC that does the update.
*
Did not ever force recharge my 1 year+ Insight, and IMA battery still working like day 1 smile.gif

I personally don't believe in force recharge, as it waste fuel.. sweat.gif anyway, my IMA battery will be able to obtain full charge at least twice a month through normal driving

today my IMA meter back to normal behavior even i try to sudden accelerate and try to maximize battery usage..waulewei,i suspect tis car know today i want do the service... hmm.gif

at the SC, i still make complaint..they said will check the battery
suspect that they just do load test on 12v battery and some test on IMA battery..
coz to them everthing in fine condition..them inform during ride test the battery Asst/recharge ok..
look at the report test,12v battery reading 12.something and others test(i assume IMA)86% recharge state and OK..
I do the Service at HZN and feel that their job below expectation..will go other SC if this prob. reoccur..

anyway my 20K service cost $251.(escape cabin air filter)..if not the cost will boom to $400..

If 12A battery reading 12.4, the battery is 70% charged and if it is 12.3 and below at engine not running, its a bad battery. Get it recharge or better get a new battery. New battery reading 12.6 to 12.7

rclxub.gif Not again....SC suspect the same location causing leak. They say too many wire going thru the rubber hole causing the leak. What an explanation. They will silicon it for me free and see how. Need to be white mice again for them to see if it leak or not... cry.gif

Probably voltage stabilizer would help... Mine I install Zaptor and working fine. Look at my youtube link below.... tongue.gif Someone ask whether voltage stabilizer help and I say not really save fuel a lot as it's already hybrid... only stabilize voltage.....12v battery only tongue.gif Not IMA battery... biggrin.gif Hmmm wonder inverter help... very high voltage lol... brows.gif

My insight also got the problem of having sound when above 110. But this problem seems to be on and off. Went to told SC when I was having my 1000km service. But there is no sound when drive above 110. So it's kinda hard to rectify the problem.

Ezu_din, playoff90, WT2 and anybody else here having that noise/whistling sound, I'm pretty sure u guys facing the same issue; bonnet closure emits noise at certain speed. I have analysed the issue in details and solve my problem once and for all.
Few input to consider:
1. The whistling/noise happens when the speed in the range between 80-100km/h. Some up to 110km/h.
2. I get to know most 2012 FL version got his issue. Not only in Malaysia, but everywhere else. Surf Insightcentral. Some had claim (other country) and they replace the windscreen sealant. Have to remove windscreen. They said it was due 'lack of sealant'. But i guess they didn't study the issue thoroughly. And the reason why adding more sealant address the issue was, thicker glue alter the windscreen angle/position, slightly outward (even very slightly) and alter the angle of that plastic cover and gap (the culprit).
3. From my analysis last time, the sound only happen when there's no vehicle in front (u get a direct wind).
4. When the whistle happen, if u dare (like me), try to release the bonnet. Dont worry the bonnet wont fly off. I've tested up to 105km/h no problem. If the sound disappears, u are facing the same problem.
5. I didnt have the problem the first 3-4 month using the car. One nite, i thought i heard some high pitch whistling noise (around 80km/h). Shutoff my radio and the whistle was quite faint.
6. The sound became louder few months later. Decided not to go straight to SC coz their mechanic also try n error, cant imagine they dismantle everything to find the noise. By then i already know it only happened when there's no vehicle in front. Tried to release the bonnet and its disappear, i went back home and adjust the bonnet mounting bracket or hinges (left and right). I alter the bonnet closure by adding few washer at the mounting bracket. The bonnet close slightly outward by then.
7. To my surprise, the sound went from 80+km/h to around 100km/h, lower frequency, just like the one in the video u attached https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pVYM0hW7ruw...feature=mh_lolz
8. I removed the washer, and decided to seal the open gap between bonnet and that plastic cover. This is the area where the sound coming from. The original rubber seal is quite deep inside, leaving some nice gap to whistle.
Attached Image
9. Long story short, I've solved the problem.
Attached Image
10. Besides this, i've analysed and done a few try & error eg. drive with wiper up coz initially suspect the wiper, drive with side mirror fold-unfold, open-closed window (driver & passenger), observe every rubber, every seal, side mirror mounting, including that 20 cent rubber (didnt quite solve it for me), even drive with removed lower engine bay cover to investigate the problem.
11. To test whether u can solve the problem, or whether u have the same problem, simply cover the gap between bonnet & the black plastic using masking tape and drive to speed when ur noise occur. If its disappear, u can either left the masking tape there or try my solution. Read my previous post for details. thumbup.gif

*besides this mod, i've done a few other DIY on my Insight. I pretty sure mine is one of the quietest Insight around. tongue.gif

Not much. Only additional insulation in engine bay (firewall), front suspension/ wheel well, all four doors, hatch, all strategic places, and insulate exhaust area all the way from front to rear. Effective enough to mute the engine sound, quieter suspension 'thud', wind noise almost absent, only some more works have to be done to reduce tyre noise. Maybe i need to change the tyres biggrin.gif
