Received my first SMS alert for swipe transaction on my Citibank CC for an amount less than min amount set.

Maybe because I requested for the replacement CC.

That's good, at least you know it's working.

Ha! Ha! Previously, I didn't receive any alert on swipe transactions at amount less than preset default value.

Just have to monitor it.

Update for UOB Credit Card: We can change the SMS alert transaction limit to RM 1 and above. I have successfully done so and got the SMS for a RM 40 transaction. Just fill in the "SMS Transaction Alert Service Maintenance Form" from UOB website at Useful Information -> Application Form -> Personal Banking. The completed form should be sent to UOB via fax, post or direct hand-in. Take note that the fax number written in the form is outdated. The correct fax number should be 03-26900121, those in doubt may call up UOB to confirm.

Gen-X, please do add this info to UOB Credit Cards thread as well.

I've received my petrol swipe SMS transaction after faxing into UOB to change the limit to RM1.00
Faxed in my request on 2 October 2012... I guess it took about <1 week to process.

i'm curious about maybank sms alert for maybank 2 platinum card.
i was told that as a supplementary card holder with separate statement, i cant receive sms alerts.
it will all be sent to principle.
has anyone experienced this?

B. Default Value for Face to Face Presented Transaction to Trigger SMS Alert/Notification

OCBC Bank -  RM500. Call CS and they can email a form to request default value be set to RM1.

It's no longer necessary to call CS for the form. Just download from their site and email it to them.
