I did backup from gnex toolkit..is it nandroid backup? I took complete backup..So when I will flash custom rom and kernel..can I use this backup to restore all myfiles and apps? or should I have taken other way to back up
*
For app and data backup, you need to use Titanium. Nandroid backup is to backup the whole OS.

For those who want to test their NFC, just swipe cards with chip inside(eg. Visa Wave, Student card, TouchnGO etc) behind your phone. You should hear a sound. BUT nothing is gonna happen..but just for the lol.
*
I tried mine but no sound. Already turned on the NFC and beam. What is the correct method to swipe the card? Just need to touch the back of the phone?

I received my REarth backcase this morning. It was mailed out from USA on 11 Jan , so it took 10 days to reach me. It costs me US $34.57 inclusive delivery

http://www.rearthusa.com/galaxy_nexus_slim.html

Attached some pics. Some extra highlights - it is indeed very, very  slim . There is a soft leather backing at the inside and 2 rubber plugs at bottom to cover the USB port and headset port. It covers both the top and bottom well but at the sides is only midway
It also comes with a screen protector

Hi Benny, is it look really slim after putting on the gnex? You got noble black? Will it have a lot of fingerprint on the case since it is glossy type?

Sorry, your photo a bit blur. tongue.gif

I tested mine with all cards including IC and CC all cannot work. However, to my surprise TnG has sound when I touch the back of my gnex. So for your case, you might want try all sort of cards you have to confirm before send for service. wink.gif

Guys, how do we access file that we transferred into gnex using usb?
When I connect the usb, I can see all these folder inside the internal storage of the phone. I can even transfer files back and forth between phone and comp.
The question is how do we access these folders on the phone itself

Download ES explorer or Astro file manager

Which shop did you ask for the price? There is a SEP in 1st avenue. If you just want to buy the phone, can try to ask from SEP rather than any shop outside.

Great - it is indeed a very nice well made case . It makes the G Nexus very classier. Only issue I have is quite difficult to take it off - need some skill. After several practices, it was easier but still quite a task to perform
*
Yes, after heard so many good review of this case. Decided to get it even the price is not cheap. tongue.gif

This video does showing how to take it off but I am not sure in real life how difficult it is. tongue.gif

It looks easy on the video. he must have taken it off many times so much so it is not that tight fit. It is indeed still a difficult task for me and I must say is the most difficult backcase to take off I have ever use
*
Hopefully it won't scratch the body of the phone if we force it during take off.

Currently i'm using yakju4.0.2 .I plan to flash to aosp4.0.3.
According to the flashing instructions

1. Make sure you're on the latest CWM
2. MAKE A NANDROID
3. wipe data/factory reset in recovery -- a must if coming from a stock-based ROM
4. flash ROM
5. flash Gapps
6. reboot
7. sign into Google
8. (recommended) reboot immediately after

The step 3, If i choose to wipe data/factory reset in recovery.Which partition it will wipe out?the hidden?viewable or both?

Like what Benny said, if you scared copy everything to your pc. You can try it out to experience yourself after everything has been backup to your pc. Without trying out yourself you won't get the idea. Worst case copy back from your pc. Stop asking since you already got the info and start doing.

Sorry for the noobness, I thought it just another app like titanium backup. Google it up, turn out it just a term for full system backup, haha.

"If you need to restore some system data , eg messages, contacts etc – choose ” restore all system data” : UNSELECT all and only tick those system apps you need , example you can restore back the Launcher data where you have setup all your homescreen."
Taken from your site, if I want to do the above, should I use titanium backup or CWM?
*
Nandroid backup in CWM will backup your OS whereas titanium only backup your apps. As simple as that.

i believe soft speaker volume might be caused by hardware/chipset.
BTW, I still encounter intermittent clock freeze on top notification bar. when it happen, widget and lockscreen clock are working as normal. anyone facing this before? I had try ARHD, AOKP & bigxie, all these rom still having this intermittent issue. So I guess is not ROM issue. all of you use automatic time & time zone? or turn off? any other root cause?
*
May I know did you use any task killer? I remember I faced this issue before when I used task manager to kill the program. Now I stop using task manager and the clock issue did not happen anymore.

Just received the slim case from Rearth. Delivered out on 25th Jan and receive today. Pretty good quality I would said but haven't put on to my gnex yet. It should look sexy after that. Hehehe...
