Mostly if you root + CWM then it's a no go for OTA.
If root only and still on stock roms then usually can get OTA. Mostly it depends of the updates itself. Maybe you can get 4.0.2 via OTA but it doesn't mean you surely can get 4.0.3 via the same way.

Mine still on stock roms 4.0.2. Haven't root or touch anything yet :-P

Like i have posted before., all depends on the updates itself. Maybe you can receive OTA 4.0.2 while rooted with stock rom but it doesn't mean the same with 4.0.3. Different updates different installer, i think. The most safe way to receive OTA updates is stay on official stock rom without any rooting.
But of course for the rooted phone can always update by flashing when the time comes :-))

Maybe it because of your battery bro. The battery and the phone both have transmitter/receiver... i think :-P
