hi there...would like to ask about my savvy..mine is manual version..i noticed that my gear knob kinda moves at all of the gear position....and one more...sometime when im using first gear to accelerate a "tak" sound came out of nowhere...can someone explain? is it because of d gear mounting

Dude, weekend now, guess not many will check back unless curi tulang during office hour. I'm also very new to Savvy, but let's see whether I guess the problem right.

1) Gear knob shakey I supposed thats what you mean. There supposed to have some mounting that hold on to the shift linkage that is broken. My car has the same problem, yet to rectify. If not the linkage, may be there is an extra mounting for transmission need to replace.

2) Please switch off your radio, record the footage so we can justify whats wrong with it. Often I heard the "tak" sound was the bloody SANDEN aircond compressor kicks in doh.gif Then ofcourse the car suddenly lose power 9 9. shakehead.gif

I hope I didn't screw up. Awaiting for other senior members confirmation.

Oh no! Problems after problems keep coming after 2 years of ownership.

A few days ago, my manual Savvy's speedometer suddenly stopped working when I was driving. Then the mileage count didn't move, the car jerks a lot at low speeds and the aircond becomes less cold as I rev my car more. All happened at the same time.

Went to Proton and they told me my speed sensor and shield needs to be replaced. Costs RM400+! I plan to claim warranty for this... But I'm not sure whether is it covered or not? Will try my luck but Proton said after submitting the necessary documents, it may take 2 weeks to see whether my warranty claim is valid, then only they will fix my car FOC.

Which SC did you go? Normally if claim warranty, most advised to go COSE.

Oh, I sent to Proton Section 13. Did a few warranty claims with them last time but I didn't have to go through such a process before. Last time my gear lever bengkok and seats got sound, they replaced FOC and no need submit any documents also. Dunno why this time they so strict.

Wow thanks guys, but I just paid RM60+ for no reason coz i said my aircond sometimes cold, sometimes hot, then they refill my gas. Still same issue. Hope replacing the speed sensor thing can solve this problem and my jerkiness problem. Plan to claim warranty for that ... Duno how they are related also but all happened at the same time.

I just managed to stick the front grill today. Sticked the bonnet yesterday. rclxms.gif

All was D.I.Y. Front grill took 2 hours (alone), and bonnet was 2 hours (4 people).

How does it look?

laugh.gif sorry for late reply regarding your matter. Have consulted my magician, to conclude that your engine mounting KO jor, hense the shiftstick flicking so much. On the otherhand, when u picking up speed, the transverse engine will lean backward, and that's when you heard the "TOK" sound. Basically, they're the same problem for both scenario & can be fix at the same time. Correct me if I'm wrong laugh.gif

Calling for savvy 2005 (early batch), please go change you effected rear spindle..
i myself once go to proton ask bout replacement on recall program but due to time constraint i delay it til 2011 which later on i regret cause program ended.. that time i think just bearing problem so change to new one.. up til 2012 sept, it is ok.. suddenly strange noise appear from rear wheel.. suspect brake drum.. service it twice.. still noisy.. then..

just recently, my lil brother in law drive the car and it end up overheat and funny smell.. the next two day he go to a tyre shop and ask the shop bout the strange noise and smell, halfway during testdrive to diagnose the smell n noise, sh*t happen.. rear wheel got disengaged..

end up tow, change spindle, bearing, brek etc related to rear wheel cost near rm1k..

so anyone that driving 2005 early batch car, please check your car at proton service centre or reliable shop, check did the spindle already been changed on proton re-call program or not..

something like my lil bro experience is not good for our heart and pocket.. well might end up accident and risk your life..

gosh, we sometimes did 160kmh on that car.. thank god it did not happen during speeding..
