i decide to JB but it come out the error : SORRY THE ATTACHED DEVICE IS NOT SUPPORTED in the absinthe box what does this mean?
my device spec : iphone 4s come with 5.01, i update to 5.1 now.
itunes is the latest 1.

U make a wrong action, which is update to ios 5.1. Currently jailbreak for iOS 5.1 A5 device still not available yet.

There is no JB for 5.1

Well, if it's possible I want to stay at 5.0.1 if can't I don't mind going 5.1.

I already edit the lines tried to restore still comes up 3194.
I tried using TinyUmbrella "set source to Cydia on exit" unchecked & checked, both same

For me, I usually just press restore and kautim wor. Not sure what is error 3194 is. Have you tried to google around or search in this forum while waiting for the sifu's here to reply?

The case of iPhone error 3194 is simple. Whenever Apple upgrades its firmware, any old firmware that exists does not get the necessary signing from Apple (signing of the ECID).

I know, free stuff is always preferable
but if you think about it, the developers spend quite a lot of time developing a good app
and you don't want to repay them for their efforts.

let me give you an example...
have you ever heard of the sci-fi series called firefly?
I LOVED that series when it came to our shores
but not enough people supported it by watching the original version when it first came out
and everyone only started liking it when the dvd came out and the series was cancelled
IF everyone had liked it before, and supported it properly by watching it on their paid channels, i'm sure joss whedon (creator of fireflye) could have continued making more episodes
