I have never heard of this problem before. Do you have iBlacklist installed? Maybe you accidentally balcklisted the number?

I have a locked set iphone 4. Until now i having problen with it. i used gevey to unlock. The big problem for me when they no coverage of 3g, it wont automactically drop to 2g. it will show no service. then it will stuck at no service until u restart the phone. same thing happen if i turn off 3g. I asked before and it said because of umobile as it using 2 platform either umobile3g or umobile2g. the problem still havent solve yet.

What gevey are you using? Pro?

gevey ultra i'm using.

anyone using Hands-Free Control? will be good if any user can give a feedback.

Should be ok if you are using the original gevey. Its stable. I was using for about 5 months with no issue.

that y i'm curious is that because of the umobile... Really frustrated about this problem.

Have you tried with other telco sim card? Just to confirm its umobile issue.

just upgraded to ios 5.0.1(jb-ed redsn0w) from 4.3.3. (jb wit redsn0w) ended up with " no service " .
Installed ultrasn0w but still no use.

current status :

carrier - N/A
Modem firmware = 04.11.08
ICCID = 20 digit numbers

Cant restore back to previous ios coz the restore button is unclick-able.
Please help.

Local set or locked set? Did you use ultrasn0w when you were on 4.3.3 jb?

yup... i had try with digi. no such problem...

I'm not sure whether I have previously used ultrasn0w.
But now I m trying to restore back to 4.3.3 , and I m trying to fix error 3194 .

for iphone 4 lock set, only able to use snowbreeze to jailbreak the device right? It can't use redsnow as it need to preserve baseband and hacktivate the device right? I tried using redsnow to preserve baseband on my iphone 4 and I'm stuck at ios 5.0.1 welcome screen which said it cannot activate ios 5 as unsupported sim card.

Singapore set is factory unlocked. Restore your iPhone again to 5.0.1 and check the signal. If it is working fine, jailbreak with redsn0w latest version. Follow the guide in post #1

Let us know if after jailbreak, you encounter the signal problem again.

Was looking for the gevey sim in low yat the other day and came across this shop that claims that they can unlock my iphone 4S (AT&T) set permanently
without having to use any gevey sim. I'm quite skeptical.. I haven't come across another unlock way other than using the gevey sim.

Anyone have other source to back this up?

There ways to unlock that I know is by 1) telco unlock 2) replace the chip 3) gevey sim.
If they have other way to unlock they should be better than the dev team.

How much they charge?

Charging rm400 and guaranteed me that i will never need to use any gevey sim and can use my 4S like a factory unlocked phone.
