Go t a CyberCafe and try downloading it or any Starbucks for that matter, should be about a 30 minute download. Sip your Mochachino and surf some site and wait for the download to finish.

There are some excellent tweaks that are free. Some excellent tweaks that are not free. I always believe that if you like a product, pay for it.

The ringgit is getting stronger, that 0.99 cents (or 1.06 cents after sales tax), it will barely break RM3.30 on your bank .... less than the 4 ringgit that you have to pay for parking nowadays.

That is true, BUT Apple does upgrade the baseband for reasons other than to thwart unlockers and downgraders. Sometimes, if you are having issues with signal quality etc and you are on an officially factory unlocked iPhone, for trouble shooting purposes, the first thing people will notice is that your baseband is way too old for that iOS.

Depends on which Telco, ALL telco in Malaysia (even if you're on contract) are required to sell factory unlocked phones (something right that the MCMC did for once). Unless you bought it on contract in another country, say the US, then it's sim-locked and No, there is no unlock solution for the 4s at the moment. Musclenerd is working on it, but don't get your hopes up.

Yes. You need to install iTunes. Go to Apple Website and look for iTunes. It will also install the necessary iPhone drivers so that the PC will be able to recognize the iPhone.

Yeah, pretty much. Once you installed iTunes though, before you run the jailbreak, it is recommended that you backup your iPhone 4s. Right hand click on your iPhone icon in the left sidebar of iTunes and select backup. Just in case there is some problems in the jailbreaking process. It's better to be safe than sorry.

Then it shouldn't take too long to jailbreak the iPhone.

The Settings apps have crashed several times before I jailbroke the iPhone 4s (crash maybe not an accurate term, suddenly closing itself is more accurate). Other than the occasional icon becoming white (which can be solved via a re-spring), I have not had any issues with the 4s jailbreak.

Check the thread "Favorite Cydia Tweaks" and see what the tweaks do and which is free and which is paid tweaks.

Ruffyfluffy, please remove any mention of piracy enabling apps ( you know which one I'm talking about)

Using pirated apps Is probably why your 4s is unstable.

No solution for it at the moment. You can use it as an iPod Touch.
