Pod2g has found a stable user land jailbreak for 5.1 similar to 5.0.1. He just needs to compile the tool so that it can be distributed. Not too long now.

The chronic dev team has all the necessary exploits for the userland jailbreak and pod2g has managed to bypass the ASLR requirement (based on news in iClarified). This jailbreak will also jailbreak the iPad 3 (no I will not call it the new iPad. )
The dev team has released the latest redsn0w that implements the A5 corona exploit AND also allows you to save the unlock ticket for the iPhone unlock exploit as found by Locktar_Sun Great development scene at the moment |
