Anyone tried modifying those daemons that are not needed so that the phone starts up faster and runs quicker? is there a JB tweak for this? (i'm not talking about reduced or removed animations like in springtomize)

Mine loads a bit faster, I think. Or maybe it's just a placebo effect.

Sorry riz, my inbox is already fill to the brim with people asking for help and since I'm not that familiar with sn0wbreeze (I'm more familiar with PwnageTool which is close to sn0wbreeze) so I thought I'd mentioned your name since you did something with sn0wbreeze on a 3Gs with an iPad baseband before.

Will jailbreak void the warranty?
If send the phone back to maxis for warranty claim, can we reset the phone?
Are they able to detect its jailbreak before?

just curious, could it be the phone password itself? maybe could remove it and give it a try.

unless you have a dead jailbroken phone due to hardware and unable to restore, there is really nothing to worry about. You can't brick an iPhone i guess.

nonsense. Just go back your setting, general, network. Choose tethering and key in the apn...then your personal hotspot will appear.

there is no tethering when onavo is on

i got cellular data
data roaming
vpn
wifi

after delete onavo

personal hostpot reappear

my personal experience , why would this be nonsense?

PS: it really bugs me when i solve my problem and somebody said its nonsense. do you know what onavo is in the first place? if not, i rest my case. if yes, it's still my problem and the way i solved it is like that = why would it be nonsense?

There ia no such thing as nonsense.
Why need to set tethering and apn all that?
The point is, by default setting, personal hotspot should be always available.
He is mentioning this problem only occured after jb but other user got no issue on this.
Which means, this issue does not related to settings at all.

We appreciate if there is more constructive and informative comments for other people referrence.

exactly how i felt

it's my problem, btw i solved it

i'm not sure the problem is Onavo or jailbreak iphone 4s, or Both combine
i mention this before but i'll mention it again here

1.I deleted my Onavo profile
2.I deleted my Onavo app
3.I reset my network settings
4.Hard Reboot iPhone [home button + power button]
5.in settings wont show personal hotspot [ignore this]
6.General > Network [personal hotspot will be here]
7.go back and check at General
8.Personal Hotspot is re-enabled

i'm not sure if some people have this problem or me alone, i googled before post here, and quite a few people had this problem

all said they reset network settings and it is solved, for me its not. i need to delete my onavo first then it is solved

i'm afraid to re-install onavo now, but i'll try soon enuf to test it to check if it is jailbreaking problem or onavo problem

Added on January 28, 2012, 12:26 amOK i just tested it, the culprit was actually the Onavo App, and not the jailbreak

Once u install Onavo, Personal Hotspot will be disable from the list....

What the hell? an app to Shrink data but disable hotspot? blarghhh >.>

Just list down all the apps you installed, and what is your IOS now?

Try rebooting once in awhile will smoothen your iPhone lots.

No apps installed yet. Newly restored phone. Running on iOs 5.0.1. And yes, winterboard is installed.
