how to reflash the baseband?

In your case I would recommend sn0wbreeze to create a custom firmware. You can PM rizfield as he had done something similar to your case and had some issues with redsn0w.

A baseband cannot be reflashed, and in your case, since you are using an iPad baseband cannot be upgraded either.

bro, reflashing the iPad baseband will fix the cellular line + ultrasn0w.
Even you use sn0wbreeze / PwnageTool to create a custom firmware, it will still "No Service" cause he use stock ipsw to update his iPhone.

azraeil, give a try.

I solved this problem 3 times dy with iPhone 3G and 3GS.

i dont know if it's the iphone fault for making my sim card died.
because i tried my celcom sim into my other mobile phone, and it shows no coverage. although at my place, celcom coverage should be no problem. same with my maxis sim card too.

you try to check your sim card 1st before you restore/update your iphone

so next time i restore my iphone i have to take out the sim first?
but when i restore the iphone i have to activate it.
and itunes shows 'no sim card or something i forgot'.

3G can reflash their baseband. 3Gs cannot. Not matter what you do you will be stuck with the 6.15.00 iPad baseband.

Once you have created the custom firmware, follow the guide from Redmondpie and you will be fine. You may want to use Expert mode in sn0wbreeze and Rick the Hactivate option. This will automatically update your iPhone. Once the iPhone is activated you will be fine. If the iPhone is not jailbroken after the restore from custom firmware, you can jailbreak it using redsn0w 0.9.10b4

No need, you can keep the sim card inside the iphone when restoring

The iPhone won't kill your sim. Have you tried other simcard with the iPhone?

Now we have two things to solve. Your celcom simcard and the 3GS.

Your friend has pirated the barrel tweak. It's a paid app and if he got it for free, then he has the pirated version.

I have an iphone 4 and used redsn0w to jailbreak my phone (tethered version though) once I got that done and rebooted tethered to get things going. Then ended up having to reboot, and now it always freezes at the apple boot logo so after numerous tried I decided to restore it, now I try to restore and keep getting an error about the disk being full. What am I supossed to do????? Please help!!
