LoL!    biggrin.gif

By the way. How does the frame travel being measured? 4", 5", or 7"
Take example at my bike. Scott Spark 2012. SCOTT
As I see. The rear shock only has 4" stroke. But Scott mentioned the rear travel 120mm. rclxub.gif
*
where got rear shock stroke until 4"!!!
the longest rear shock stroke is only 3.5".

The frame travel is actually the amount of the rear wheel movement along its path.

I ride both? LOL, i cant seem to decide. The thing is that i dont like the glory colour and looks abit weird to me. Are these bike both around the same value judging from the specs?

.my take solely based on kiara terrain. If you ride only DH route in kiara then 7 above. If wanna enjoy most of kiara 5-6 just about perfect. 6-7 needs some MTB.7 above is MTB for sure before downhill. Longer travel for pure downhill kaki.

Obviously I hope to get a FS cause I really like riding at Kiara...

Taking into account the following:

1. Kiara Trail
2. I want something thats not that heavy, helps me climb (with my body weight I dont think I can afford to carry additional weight)
3. But with enough travel for me to enjoy Kiara
4. Though I love going downhill...I dont think Ill be making jumps and bombing it like the downhillers

My logic is ...if you wanna bomb it going downhill..you ll need more travel..which requires a stronger frame therefore the frame will be heavier (carbon out of the question)...I ve researched an notice...XC(lightest)-->Trail(Light)-->AM(Heavy)-->DH(Heaviest)

And I dont want a bike thats too heavy...so I think a 5 inch Trail Bike is just nice

Well....I think as long as its an Alu...its ok....which is why Carbon is a big no no....Im not a weight weenie la...but a bike with a good balance between climbing and descending would be nice

Trance X would be the lightest IINM.
Stroke * leverage ratio, etc. = rear travel

If u ask me...
Skip the offer.

With the nomad u can enjoy going DH albeit a bit slow...
But with the Glory...i dun think u can enjoy riding uphill....

been there, done that, hate it.

ive used an XC, Trail/AM, DH, FR...
trust me...
A trail/AM is the best way to enjoy your weekend ride...
unless u r joining the DH fellas....then u have no choice la...

but to tell u frankly...
Glory is very hard to sell off...well not just glory...DH stuff in general...
if u plan to change bike in the future...skip the Glory...
