Hello I would like to know how long would It take from the day I apply to installation ?
*
Upon submission to the system, it takes 7 working days to process, then TIME will give you a call to see which date & time you are convenient for the Installation.

The entire Installation usually takes about 3-4 hours (some buildings may require longer time).

New package will be out soon in a month or 2 time.

Yes, 100Mbps is on the way. but not this year. The CEO did mention abt this when he's signing memorandum on one of the huge IJM proj in Penang last year.
Actually TIME Fibre Ethernet Leased Line is currently serving at 1Gbps, of course to MNCs or corporates.

Have not received details about that. But one thing for sure is TIME is not competing about price, TIME is competing in terms of stability, speed & performance.
With these, it makes us stand out among the crowds.

Hi...at this moment there is no plan of serving landed housing property as the cost is too high when it comes to pulling fibre (with proper protection) into each house.

Hi,
If TIME is not competing price wise, how will it attract new customers?
Because fence sitters like me would judge from price & speed.

I am using a Streamyx 4mb though at only RM88.
Got it under the UniPack promo back in September 2010.
Now the contract will expire in September.

Now I need to either jump onto the Maxis Home or Unifi as if I want to enjoy a similar speed on Streamyx, I would need to spend >RM200! Which is crazy.
So I've decided on Maxis as it is much cheaper at RM118 compared to Unifi's VIP5 at RM150.

Now I've pushed my Maxis installment till September to give me more time to make decision and have a wait and see approach to see whether TIME & Unifi will have an offer soon.
TIME is a bit too expensive and their price & speed points are a bit off.

Maxis 10mb = RM118
TIME 2mb = RM119
TIME 6mb = RM159
Unifi 5mb = RM150

Why doesn't TIME offer 4mb?
I reckon it would cost around RM140 which would be awesome as it would be in between Maxis & Unifi.
I would definitely take up 4mb.

To go down from my current 4mb to 2mb (RM119) is too slow!!
To go up to 6mb (RM159) is too expensive!!

You said earlier that they will improve on speed.
Does it mean they will introduce different speeds?
Or increase the speeds for the current price?

I'm living in a landed property btw in Cheras Selatan.
Does TIME cover my area?

I think you need to consider that Time's 2 Mbps line also includes 30 hours of speed boost to 10 Mbps for when you want to download stuff. I've been on Time for 2 months+ so far and I only use around 20 hours of boost a month from 6 Mb to 10 Mb under the Astro IPTV package.

Likewise I only encounter disconnections only twice so far in 2 months+, in addition to having low pings (30-40ms to SG game servers), no throttling, no download quotas, it's stuff like these that makes Time an awesome internet service provider. rclxms.gif

Wait unti Sept ??? Telor become Ayam become Chicken Curry already....
All those waiting will already sign new contract with Unify/Streamyx/Maxis. While Time has got great potential I see their execution as extremely slow. Now is already July and Maxis came out with RM118 plan, now RM138 in June.
Another 2 months to come out with a Marketing Plan ??? doh.gif

I can wait until then but as I read further, TIME only caters to those living in a high-rise building. sigh.
What is the reason for this?

Thanks for your reply.

Yes, I could make do with 2mbps and boost it whenever I want to go on a youtube hour or download a football match.
But maybe I won't be able to digest the double waiting time to upload pages as I am so used to 4mb whether in Malaysia or Australia.

Too bad TIME or Astro doesn't venture into landed properties.
