If TIME is not competing price wise, how will it attract new customers?
Because fence sitters like me would judge from price & speed.

Now I've pushed my Maxis installment till September to give me more time to make decision and have a wait and see approach to see whether TIME & Unifi will have an offer soon.
TIME is a bit too expensive and their price & speed points are a bit off.

Maxis 10mb = RM118
TIME 2mb = RM119
TIME 6mb = RM159
Unifi 5mb = RM150

Why doesn't TIME offer 4mb?
I reckon it would cost around RM140 which would be awesome as it would be in between Maxis & Unifi.
I would definitely take up 4mb.

To go down from my current 4mb to 2mb (RM119) is too slow!!
To go up to 6mb (RM159) is too expensive!!

You said earlier that they will improve on speed.
Does it mean they will introduce different speeds?
Or increase the speeds for the current price?

I'm living in a landed property btw in Cheras Selatan.

Time Fibre + Astro IPTV subscriber here, 10mbps.

Right now, Astro working fine & showing no pixelated.

Internet access however fakap. Few days prior to this, router kind of wonky -- lost signal, slow connection, can't be find by my laptop, ipad, iphone.

This is router problem right?

If I want to buy new router since E1000 pretty basic, what model will be the best?

Do I need to contact TIME CS to configure my new router or I'll be fine doing it myself -- and how?

how come time don't do like maxis fiber? Tap on TM's fiber backbone and then they can service all areas that have fiber. I want to switch my unifi to fiber but they just don't offer their service for teres house...

Theoretically this should be more or less the same as GPON DWDM is utilizing different wavelength (λ) to carry both upstream & downstream.
Time Gpon for FTTH is based on ITU G.984 which specifies 2.488Gbps downstream & 1.244Gbps upstream.

So your download & upload speed differences that you test varies at any given of time as your package speed goes higher. (You may not notice much difference at lower packages).

If you are using SEA server (SG), the ping is relatively low around 30-50ms...For US, depending on state, it's somewhere around 1xx--2xxms

The Time/Astro staff called my wife offering her a speed boost to 50/30 MBPS for 6 months free but my wife not really understand those terms, can explain more here? We are on iptv now.
