Hi jjj2,
No wonder i'm not able to find the VOIP Light, my ONU different from yours.
My one is Huawei HG8240.
I attach the picture.

However i manage to find this information in Huawei Website.
Seems like TIME has replace HG850a with HG8240.

this is because Time install their own cable. TM won the contract for HSBB a few years back. If Time wants to maximise their coverage, they can do it like Maxis and use TM's infra. but there is a pro and cons to it. it is very unlikely for Time to maintain their unlimited bandwith usage should they go for this method.

and the cost of laying the cable is pretty high, which is why they target dense area like high rise buildings and the likes. Which would ensure that they can maintain their current price and the unlimited bandwith.

hope this'll clarify some stuff!  icon_rolleyes.gif

p/s: i have no information on how Time really operates, and their business decision, but this is the explanation that i could think of.  biggrin.gif and no, i am not a Time's customer, i use unifi vip5  tongue.gif but would def jump ship to Time should the opportunity arise

IF COVERAGE whole malaysia everyone will have 100MB line,rm179 for 100mb better then rm249 for 2mb.right?
Wonder if TimeISP got coverage in Ipoh.

Hi pap55,
No tone and no light, guess as per what i said earlier, they not yet configure the VOIP on the ONU.
Need to wait for the technician to call.

Hi Bro...yup the new ONUs u cant see the VOIP anymore...so need to use phone to test... when the Installer gonna come over to configure for you ?
If you have the Service Order (the Order paper they used to configure for you during Installation), then I can guide you to configure the Voice settings.

If not, then you have to wait for them to come over, or u can chase them by calling 1800 18 1818... Customer's complaint is the most powerful..LOL smile.gif

Hi Bro... yup TIME's packages are vry price competitive & its stability & performance outperformed the rest !

The only drawback is the coverage.... Ipoh TIME has Leased Line coverage at Green Town area....FTTH & FTTO not available yet.

Hi Bro,
I dont have the Service Order, only have the Work Completion From which didnt contains much details of the setup. Guess have to wait for their Technician to call. If you have instruction or step by step to setup the VOIP in the ONU, would you please share with me ?

Hi Bro...Yes I have but you still need the infos such as, SIP ID, password, SIP Server details etc.

You may chase them up by calling TIME Helpline...

By right for GPON (FTTH), the Installer will configure the Voice on that day of the Installation. I don;t know why they didn't.
