Start to love their product and so suddenly pop out this bad news. My sis sure sad after heard it. She bought it after the day they launched at Malaysia. Anything change on WP7.8 beside the start screen?
LOL. It's a never ending chase on the technology (trying to make myself not to feel sad )
Windows Update. Windows Phone 7.8 will be delivered directly to all Windows Phone users, bypassing the carriers. You will be able to download and install Windows Phone 7.8 over Wi-Fi, at home or wherever else, and install this update. This type of updating will be made available in Windows Phone 8, as well, as given my long, loud, and lengthy complaining about the lack of such updating in Windows Phone 7.x, you won’t be surprised, maybe, to discover that Microsoft jokingly calls this “the Paul Thurrott feature” internally.
It's not a marketing strategy thing for this. It's the hardware and software thing. A lot of things are different between Windows Phone 7.x and Windows Phone 8.x Now, Windows 8.x is seriously in the right path. The time to go for Windows Phone devices has come.

I hope the WP Summit actually helped everyone better on deciding whether or not now is the time for the phone.
And for those who fret about not getting the features, stop worrying about the future and enjoy what you have now. Heck, if you really want all the features in that phone so much, go save RM 5 daily. really. Find a tabung. It'll help.
I'm not gonna sit around skulk at the fact that I don't get the extras on what I already have. I'd rather be happy with everything that is already delivered so far and how much I need everything at the moment.
And to Microsoft, thank you for smaller tiles. but really, no Notification enhancements? I could use a hub for that. Like left swipe? haha.
