The giant apps are all in bound in the marketplace and yes, the current apps serve me well now. As for games I would rather get it on other platforms as the Xbox Live titles are bit expensive. I search thru the marketplace there are plenty of apps just not as much as iOS and Android. If you look back at iOS and ANdroid back then they dont suddenly in few months have 100,000 apps. IMO, we shouldn't wait for the giant app dev to port their apps, we should have something that is unique on our platform, something that home brew from WP platform, something only cater for WP users This post has been edited by s7ran9er: Jun 27 2012, 09:08 AM |

QUOTE(aspire2oo6 @ Jun 27 2012, 09:44 AM) With windows phone 8 coming they will be even more dev will invest. Great! Flickr don't do sharpening I tried uploading numerous times if the image quality is bad its bad. Its clear because the image focussed correctly. Sharpening only applies to Flickr generated pictures, which in this case thumbnails or resized photos. QUOTE Yes, Flickr (like other sites) applies sharpening to the image sizes generated on the site. No, it cannot be controlled. I find that I get the best results if I upload the original size of photograph with no or very minimal sharpening and let Flickr do the sharpening for the screen. If I am uploading a smaller size of image instead, I will sharpen enough for screen viewing on that size, but not for pixel-peeping. I save the higher levels of sharpening for printing, where more sharpening helps. http://b.qr.ae/QfkoXY Added on June 27, 2012, 9:52 am QUOTE(ck.chunkeat @ Jun 27 2012, 09:47 AM) Wait what? QUOTE(angelflames @ Jun 27 2012, 09:54 AM) I suggest you should take your pictures under a well-lighted place or under a bright place, that way your phone camera sensor is able to grab most of the light thus faster shutter speed and the result is the camera will be able to capture all the details rendering sharp images. Aside from brighter places, while taking a picture under a not so well-lit places you need a firm and steady hand (we call it the steel hand, practise makes perfect For the best result, just take several shots at the same time (something like burst mode on DSLR) and hopefully you'll land on your perfect picture. Just sharing some photography tips, which works on most of the cameras out there. This post has been edited by s7ran9er: Jun 27 2012, 10:40 AM |

Forgot to add,
"WHY THE HECK YOU DON'T USE THE LED FLASH?" The flash from the phone is great, but we use it depends on the situation say for instance, you can use the led flash to freeze the moment while your subject is moving. A direct flash to the face is like a direct slap to the face for your subjects(or that just me), I use any possible light source available, the flash tends to gives in the oily face effect or over exposed face, sometimes red eye so try use a tissue paper or paper to diffuse the light (softer light), so your subject won't feel the slap in the face. |

To my experience, all the popular apps are not working that well. Facebook for WP for instance, the app takes forever to load and right after the loading, I still have to wait somemore. ]:<

QUOTE(Kyoyagami @ Jun 28 2012, 02:55 PM) Not much of a concern for me since I can just access the newsfeed in the People's hub. It's other things that bugs me though. Well we all know what the bugs are, it's heck of a long list but can't complaint for such a young brew OS. And yeah, I can access the Facebook updates on my People's Hub, but the thing is, Facebook evolved, but not the OS's social integration and I needed that full experience on Facebook, which is why I need that app. This post has been edited by s7ran9er: Jun 28 2012, 02:59 PM |

I believe I've seen from the Windows Phone marketplace website, the updates are pulling out to every phone out there even the after first gen and second gen get 8773, there's another special update for Lumia 900 to fix some problems.
8779: Lumia 900 version 2175.2101.8779.12201: Enhanced sensitivity for proximity sensor performance and improvement to your phone’s screen colours in low light conditions This post has been edited by s7ran9er: Jul 7 2012, 08:08 PM |

QUOTE(danielcmugen @ Jul 8 2012, 02:49 PM) Both sharing the same lens and technology however there might be some problems with Lumia 900 camera firmware, it was reported that the camera does have some color hue problem at the camera center and blue noise at darker parts of the image on some deviced, not all but you have to admit that the details produced by the camera is superb. Hopefully future nokia updates can address this problem. Nonetheless, the camera is a decent camera. This post has been edited by s7ran9er: Jul 8 2012, 03:07 PM |
