i pay FS si foo to calculate both mine & wify birthday+ time to get the move in timing

Moving new house, once or twice maybe 3 times per life, just follow bah, at least felt comfort with it after done

Just done similar last Saturday, except below:-

ON all the lights to message the evil day before moving in
Hanging the Red Color silk at the main door day before moving in
DON'T bring any old things into the house before the move date / time or after praying (hence my old aircon didn’t installed too )

LOL.. I am staying alone and I have done some of it only, like:

i) throw the mixed beans (5 type of beans or nuts) at all the corners few days earlier
ii) boil water (but i use gas stove only )
iii) open all the doors and windows
iv) place rice, cooking oil, salt, tea in the kitchen

Corniecorm, u throw few days before"? The guy who calculated my move in date ask me throw on same day... Aiseh very mafan le..coz need to carry the salt..etc, then tan Lou then throw the beans..

Oh got burn incense also...I dunno who to follow..

for my case all new, cause i want to bring in / prepare before move in....

Aiyoo..how..my old house pots n pans n plates all I put in the house already like ages ago

Actually mine was burn the red fire cracker b4 the 1st hack of renovation. Then once all reno done, house thoroughly cleaned, the day i shift in b4 12pm, i burn 2 sets of red fire cracker again, front & back.

Sorts of give me comfort to inform "occupants" if any that am shifting in, pls vacant my house forever.

It happenned to my christian brother and his wife. My mom say choose date, but being a stubborn christian my mom's advise falls on deaf ears. On the same day they move in, in the evening my dad received a call from my brother"help me..i cant move...pls come now..we need to go hospital" my dad drove like schumacker and reached his house in record time.

Both of them had severe diarrhea, immobile and dehydrated.my dad had to carry both of then to the car before sending them to the hospital.

This is a real event. My brother is moving next week and this time, he consults my mother for a good date!

the moral of the story tells us not to take mom's advise for granted.
if anyone is moving or intends to renovate, please, at least check the Chinese calendar. there are plentiful apps out the for both andorid and iphone. i can't read chinese but i sure as hell know RED wordings is a big NO NO.

i just finished my "yap for" yesterday..10/01 is good day if i am not cheated...so, we try to do some simple tasks like hang red textile, hold burning charcoal stove in house till kitchen, boiling water....those tat will make my house dirty been rejected by me..haha

Yesterday is good date, only "Chong" Rat year.

Usually for move in, is to align the mattress, before the move in mattress don't put in or align to final location. Put bed sheet., use the stove, and of course the door need to open up too.

Is what we call "tong hei" move the Chi.

the five type of beans are red bean, green bean, soya bean, black bean and "mei dou" (not sure the eng name, but normally used in making dumpling), and also mixed with rice and tea.

yaya, throw few days before. After throw, close all the doors, left it for at least 24 hrs. That is what was told by the elders.

Sometime I very confuse. If list down all this thing need to do just base from your guys write here is kinda long.

Don't take it so seriously....i know many big boss never follow any of them when they moved into bungalow...one of the boss will move in during CNY..he said, any day during CNY also a good day, so don't need to look for good date..

Old stock but new should consider new lor.. used one don't bring in first ...........
just to make u feel more comfortable ..hehe
