In Feng Shui term, the most important is to get the house Gua, occupant Gua (Life Gua) to match with timing for house move in.

There are few method for date selection, very basic is using the "Thong Seng" book and go temple to find a good date, this is the most basic date selection, the more advance is to match with house sitting, and find a good timing, which limit the good date it have, some house may be advice not to move in on specific year (That is you believe).

A good date/timing does not mean you get super result, a good timing may give you a head start, or making you better luck or meet more helpful people.

Usually for move in, is to align the mattress, before the move in mattress don't put in or align to final location. Put bed sheet., use the stove, and of course the door need to open up too.
