I have stop using sp in my phones more than 2 years already. I prefer screen naked. My phones are well protected in casing which cover the front. Dont worry nowadays most screen are scratchproof to keys, coins and most stuff you put in pocket. You dont believe try scratch your screen with keys it will not. I have even tested with penknife drag it across screen. However fine sand grains could scratch it slightly

wow I didnt know this. So could you suggest me some case for which I won't require SP at all. In that case I may spend more money to buy a better case.

+1, I like using the phone naked as well.

It feels so much natural than using sp, and usually it doesn't even have any visible scratches after >1 year of using it

Sticker? No idea, it is totally unprotected .. was using it for two days until I got myself a Mercury case. Been using my old phone with SENA flip case and I've just ordered myself a Melkco flip case too.

when an update comes... you need to read the 1st post again from a-z
some updates just requires you to do wipe cache and wipe dalvik cache and then flash

some updates requires a full wipe! usually the dev will state on the 1st post

read the changelog as well... some updates have bugfixes.. some update are adding new features

do also read a few page of post on the thread so that you can see some flash addict stating any bugs or what happen when they flashing without full wipe

then you will know whether you can skip the update or the update is critical to ensure stability and good batt life

if you dont like flashing rom more than once a month... then better stick to stock rom..
any updates on stock rom for sure:
- dont require you to do any wipe
- updates are small in size
- all your settings and data untouched
- rock solid stability with 100% working features & functions

currently using AOKP build#17 + ApexV5 kernel
im still testing out which custom kernel suits for my needs

AOKP itself is really2 smooth as butter.. super many extra features until some its 'bloated' with features in a  thumbup.gif  way

normal...
dunno this heat will effect any specific hardware on the phone
my practice when i feel hot.. i give my phone a 5 minutes rest

i know.. when your phone rest... some of us become restless  sweat.gif

Hmmm im thinking of flashing to AOKP, first i think i might want to buy Titanium Pro Backup...
What is this Kernel Kernel thingy?

The seller or the product? Someone has just received his Nillkin case, if you're going for one, find one that covers both the top and bottom of the GNex. The slim case for some reason usually doesn't have both fully covered.

Nilkin is one of the average quality types - I have bought it before for my galaxy note but don't quite like it as its quality is so-so and quite thick. TYou can always buy it online from the lowyat site you have posted - you should get it within 2-3 days if seller has stock
Rearth USA is a complete different quality - it is I'd say the most expensive backcase I have seen to date - it cost me US$ 35 inclusive delivery ( US$ 26 + US$9 ). Based on users at XDA very good review on quality and is the thinnest back case so far for the G Nex , even slimmer than SGP ultrathin back cases. Expect it to be in my hands by next week too

I've calculated, buying in bulk increases the shipment fees and the cheapest is to buy 8 which cost $32.14 using First-Class Mail International... no promo code available now sad.gif
