Flash my GNex to ARHD 2.1.2 and change kernel to james Bond (0C 1.35 Ghz), setcpu profiles and undervolt b y 100mV across all cpu speeds Results of battery life : overnight 6 hours drop 5 % with 3G always on , wifi off, GPS off and newsfeed, RSS, tweeter updates every hour in background Must say I am quite pleased with the results Battery drainage while use especially browsing is still high , about 20 % every hour on wifi ( streamyx )

I just upgraded my rom about 4 hours ago to AOKP build 14 and change kernel to Apex V5 : Overall rom performance I feel is better than ARHD 2.1.2 Several "bugs" reported by certain users , didn't faced it yet Now monitoring battery's performance

QUOTE(djlah @ Jan 10 2012, 11:30 AM) did you try franco & Jame Bond before? still thinking which kernel to flash now.... I tested James Bond kernel with ARHD 2.1.2 - excellent Flashing kernel is simple ; you can always test out and switch to one another easily as it will not wipe data

QUOTE(Hico @ Jan 11 2012, 02:19 PM) yes..i think they refer to the general spec given to them only.. Benny, after u try few custom rom on Gnex, compare to note, any further comment? The GNex is still overall a better performer ; with a cook rom and changed kernel I have improved its battery life by nearly 50 %. The GNex is slicker and smoother, apps open much faster than the G Note. But overall I still prefer the Note as I browse a lot and the bigger screen display is a big advantage Well, there is never a perfect gadget

Those users on AOKP build 15 - can you guys use the recovery mode ( select from power button). I could boot into recovery but all selections on the menu couldn't work. So I have to use the hard buttons to boot into recovery to get stuffs done Added on January 11, 2012, 8:29 pmQUOTE(Hico @ Jan 11 2012, 08:25 PM) The GNex is definitely a better performer than SGS II and is less " hot" . Only disadvantage is lack of ext SDcard and slight poorer camera shots This post has been edited by benny888: Jan 11 2012, 08:29 PM
