If they deliver a day earlier, problem also. Some people may not be expecting it and they are somewhere else

QUOTE(sordanny @ Jan 13 2012, 09:33 AM) thanks bro 3G Video call is somehow not a trend alreadyagain I don't understand why these new phones that are supposed to be the knight in shining armour can't do basic functions that my 4 year old Nokia N82 can do..... haizzzz There are plenty of other options for video calls: - Skype - Gtalk - Google+ Hangout ....etc |

Got it from Gdex already. What is the general guideline for first charge?
Some people said 8 hours but some people said newer battery shouldn't need to do that? |

QUOTE(ArmedandDangerous @ Jan 13 2012, 10:59 AM) I would use it till it's drained, then do a full charge with no stops (just leave it for 2-4 hours) Then continue using it as usual Thanks thanks.During that full charge can't play the phone right and it's better to off it right? And I heard that it's not good to drain until 0%, so maybe I'll charge it already when it's <20% |

QUOTE(benny888 @ Jan 13 2012, 11:02 AM) Thanks Benny, but it seems like the guide is on battery saving and didn't contain any info on first charge? |

QUOTE(leong2084 @ Jan 13 2012, 12:41 PM) hi everyone....sorry for being a total noob here.. They give priority to pre-order customersjust need to know where can get the phone. i stay at kl...i went to the gardens digi center at midvalley city and they told me they don't have the stock today and not sure when can get...despite the digi adds about releasing it on 13th Jan 2012 (today =.=") i really want to get this samsung galaxy (google) nexus i never bought or had a smartphone before, this will be my first.. QUOTE(siewsphone @ Jan 13 2012, 12:54 PM) I think that's because Digi insisted item to reach on the hand of buyer only |

QUOTE(sordanny @ Jan 13 2012, 04:17 PM) the concept and design of this phone compared to blackberry is completely different... Are you able to export your BB contacts to csv format?spending some time playing with it in my room but kinda "lost" i'm a bit worried i will have to re-enter all my contacts manually..... any solution?? If yes, export it and import the csv to your GMail - then your contacts will automatically be loaded. I'm not bb expert so not sure if this is helpful to you: http://www.jonathanmacdonald.com/?p=2731 edit: you probably don't need as Gmail now has option of accepting import by Vcard. I think Galaxy Nexus battery life during standby time is awesome.... hardly drop if you leave it whole night.
On the other hand - though the fonts look really fine thanks to the HD resolution of Galaxy Nexus, SGS2 screen feels more saturated, and it's slightly more responsive (probably it's due to the SGS2 CM9's Trubechet launcher). |

QUOTE(phantomash @ Jan 15 2012, 05:01 PM) Nah... S2 feels slight more responsive is probably due to the WVGA resolution of the S2, its drawing 2.4X less pixels than the GNex for every frame. And I feel that all the transition animation of ICS is making the user wait. Though if you ask me, I'd say its negligible at best. You're probably right about the colour part. Probably our eyes are spoiled by the over-saturated colours from Samsung. And yes S2's screen appears more saturated, probably because Samsung wanted it so. You can control the color of GNex with franco's kernel too, though I'm not sure if it can reproduce the saturation of S2. However, I've seen people saying SAMOLED panels were over saturated (SGS particularly), while the GNex's color is truer to real color values, so its up to different individuals I guess. |
