Ya, I did read through the FSM's website.
Of course not as much as detail i can said but atleast I hv a clear picture abt these Unit trust stuffs in my mind.
Still lots of thing I have to further explore.
By referring previous posts in this thread, seldom people mention abt Manulife funds and AmAsia Pacific REITs.
I realized that Manulife funds is one of the recommended funds by FSM, anyone has their own viewpoint on this fund?
Of coz recommended funds evaluated and listed out by FSM is just for reference.

I think I will put REITs approximately 5% of my total portfolio. To achieve 5%, I think I need 1-2 yrs..

Wah... you all look me so high meh. I just makan gaji and also not high profile management position la.. I only started to save more like 3 yrs ago when getting marry. Before that I save like 10% of income only..

I wont buy lump sum for equity funds.. so like you, start with 1K. Then top up when I think necessary at 100 - 500 range (few months once). But mostly 100 la.. so that is why I say I may need 1 - 2 yrs to achieve 5% ma..

If by 2020 I can get 30-40K in MYR terms per annum, I am already happy. SGD50K, it will be impossible for me at my current situation. Even getting 30-40K MYR is already not likely for me already.. sad.gif

30K p.a. passive income...2.5K a month hmm.gif

Assuming high yield investments like 10% p.a.

Means u need to invest about 300K sweat.gif

If ignore EPF, I need about 30 years to achieve that doh.gif

Ngam ngam time retire at 55 laugh.gif

I am those like to hang out mamak, starbucks, buy snaks or titbits eat, eat out everyday including weekend, drinking, club, etc those kind last time.. now still have those attitude in me la, just control control...

After having family.. I suddenly think of need to support a family with kids. Give kids better future and so on.. so that is why i started saving. Then investing like 2 yrs ago (though I am already late stage just going into investing). Those days, I only think I enough to use is enough.. and dont even bother to put my idle money in FD. I put in savings only...

That is why I say, even 30K/yr to get by 2020 it is not possible to me.. think need consistent 30-40% return every yr.. shxt.. that is impossible
