Honestly, i've come to a point, where i wont divulge into childish, inmature discussion. I won't drop to that level of mentality

Everyone has their own opinions. Fine, if you think it's risky investing through FSM, then be it. it's not my gain (and others here) .

If you think some other fund managements are more secure, then carry on.

this thread is only to share some other viable options to invest.

The BNM has maintained the OPR at 3.0% since the increase in May 2011. This was due to the worry that the external headwinds may cause economic growth in Malaysia to slowdown. Also inflation is seen to have peaked in recent months which gives more room for BNM to pause adjusting the policy rate upward

Correct me if I'm wrong. For EI Global Leaders MY, the annualized return isn't that impressive:

Period |3 mth | 6 mth | 1 yr | 2 yr | 3 yr | 5 yr | 10 yr
Bid to Bid Returns (%) RM | 0.3 | 1.9 | -8.5 | 0.7 | 4.1 | -8.0 | -

Mind to share why you picked this fund?

Cos I wanted a fund investing in "big name" companies...

Alliance Global Equities is good but its mandate is 1/3 in developed markets, 2/3 in Asian markets
- it will make my portfolio overexposed to Emerging/Asian markets

AmOasis Islamic Equity
- being an islamic fund, cannot invest in banks

OSK-UOB Global Equity Yield
- this is worth considering wink.gif

There is one with almost the same name, excluding the word "Global".

Investor should look at the effective return of their money, not the fee charged.

If the fund can give you good return, no harm to give 2% p.a...... if fund not good, even 1% is too expensive.

the sales charge is also important. If both funds do equally well but 1 has charge of 5.5% vs 1%, which do you choose? yawn.gif

Like tread starter, it's about time I'm looking deeper into it; came across it in Star Online but never bother to check it out...

I think this tread should be pinned or someone should start a new tread on online purchasing of unit trusts (with lower sales charge) and for mature investors who have already some funds in unit trusts and looking for an online option.

Just my two cents...

Being a new fund, not much can be said about it other than its investment mandate
- Mixed Assets, Balanced
- Asia Ex-Japan

But I don't like its management fee rate...1.8% p.a.

STILL waiting for Hwang Select Income Fund to arrive on FSM platform sad.gif

Great. For Malaysia equity, you can't go wrong with both Kenanga Growth Fund & Kenanga Syariah Growth Fund. One of the best performing fund in FSM flex.gif
