Can anyone tell me ATV3 still worth to buy? I heard ATV4 is coming on September with apps store..

At the same time can you guys share how you watch extra channels with changing the DNS?

I saw many solutions from China website. But i don't think it works here...

this is how i use my ATV.

http://connect2usales.blogspot.com/2014/03...-apple-tv3.html

Worth buying or not will depends on u. U buy now, then u can use it now. If u wait till ATV4, then u will have to wait for few months then only can use. And apps store? what u wanted to buy there that u can't use it on ur iPhone or iPad? Personally, I'm not into apps on tv.. unless u can play high quality games on it. hehe.. then can save money buying ps4 or xbox.. but dont think that will come with ATV at this point of time..

Then I guessed nothing much u can do with atv 3. Try getting a atv 2 so u can jailbreak it and install xbmc. Otherwise, use airplay then.
For xiaomi mibox, u will need to subscribe to china VPN or DNS for consistent quality viewing. Those free DNS can only use for a while then u need to start looking for a new one again. We wrote an article on using DNS but it was deleted by blogspot due to legal matters. Seems like using fake DNS is a illegal things to do..

bought AppleTV last week. Set up the dns & viola ! ... now watching all the series in HD using Netflix. As free dns is not sustainable, gonna flash a dd-wrt router and set my VPN in the long tun.

I think DNS is less of a concern. In Malaysia, it's speed, at least 15mbbs is require for streaming in HD

best way to test (if it's netflix in question) is to search for "Example Short 23.976" and monitor the figures :)
