Best (and sustained) test results as follows, using El Fuente: 60 MP10 clip on Netflix USA region with Getflix DNS:
Bitrate/Resolution/PAR
Apple TV on 720p/1080i TV on HDMI connection via LAN: 1050 kbps/640x480/3:4
iPad (4th generation) via Wifi: 3000 kbps/1280x720/1:1
Xiaomi MI3 via Wifi: 1050 kbps/640x480/3:4
Rikomagic MK 802 IV on Dell U2311H 23" LCD (on VGA connection through Minix Neo V1 HDMI to VGA adapter) via USB LAN: 560 kbps/512x384/3:4
The above test results seem accurate except for Apple TV where I am quite sure that I get better (720p) quality when watching normal (non-test) movies/shows. Forgot to test quality when airplaying Netflix to Apple TV from iPad but will post result when available.
In so far as Netflix quality through web browser on desktop PC (with Full HD (1080p) LCD) is concerned, I can confirm that you can very easily get 720p quality. As for 1080p on PC, will check when I have the time.
Hope this helps those who are shopping for media boxes/sticks with ultimate purpose being to stream Netflix/Hulu Plus etc at maximum video quality. Unfortunately, best streaming quality to date still comes from Apple devices or Roku. Please also note that Android tablets currently support streaming in 480p save for select KitKat (Android OS 4.4) based devices where Netflix HD playback is available -
Netflix Help Center.

Almost forgotten to report on current Netflix quality, will test tonight on Apple TV, iPad, iPhone, Xiaomi MI3 and Rikomagic MK 802 IV using the method below and post results here thereafter! BTW, I am on UniFi VIP 10.
