Anyone using their Apple tv to watch the livestream? Funny, just bought mine a few days ago. Perfect coincidental timing.

so, without a jailbreak ... I cannot use US VPN DNS to override the setting in the APTV3 to watch Netflix? or the jailbreak is for something else?

No la, with jailbreak you can install other apps like XBMC, Plex or atv Flash that allows atv to play almost all types of media files. Like mkv and not just limited to mp4 only, plus XBMC UI is really nice. |

For Plex, instead of buying a jailbroken ATV 2nd gen (which is going for an arm and leg on eBay), I just use the Plex iOS app and airplay the media on my 3rd gen Apple TV. I'm quite impressed with the result -- smooth, no lags.
I have a Roku 2 box for my living room, Apple TV + my Dell u2711 work monitor in my bedroom, all streaming media from an old iMac that I've turned into a centralized data center (and upgraded the hdd to 3tb). I'm loving this setup. |

Anyone notice after changing the DNS in the wifi modem router to the free dns ip, web browsing is crawling from my mac. The thumbnail and pics on fb page is not loading. Anyone is experiencing this and is there any workaround? Thanks!!

Thanks!! don't change the dns in your router, it is never advisable to do that. change the dns in your device, i.e. apple tv, ipad, iphone, pc, etc.free dns will definitely throttle your usual browsing speed. |

i just noticed that the apple tv3 only has the optical audio output, is there an adaptor to convert the optical audio to analog audio output? and how much is it in malaysia? or is there a simply method to convert it? |

Hmm can someone help advice? I got a atv 3. Most of the time when the device "wakes up" from sleep mode, it gets disconnected (home share) eventhough my iTunes in my PC is on. I would need to restart my atv 3 before I can get the home sharing to connect with my iTunes in my pc. Sometimes even restart doesn't help. Got to do it a few times. How can I have it to be always connected?
