Muahaha...wiping for GNex is a pain in the arse ehh..bro.? Totally different from SGSII
Nope..it won't working like that. Once you do wipe then everything is wipe clean including the Titanium file. No file means nothing to restored..
Only way is transfer Titanium file into pen drive before do any wipe. After wipe transfer back Titanium file into phone. Then only can do restore. Like I said..pain in the a@@

Hello to everyone.
I know that there are some similar threads in this forum, but no one is strictly related to the CM9 alpha IML74K.
I know as well that this could be part of the CM9 user discussion thread, but I'd like to share the best settings to get a good battery life with our S2 in a clean thread.
So, please:
no trolls, no dumb questions.
Just share your own experience (with a battery screenshot should be better).
Thanks a lot.

Here we go:

Developer options:
Debug usb off
Allow mock locations off
Force GPU rendering off
Windows animation scale off
Transition animation scale off
Don't keep activities on
Background process limit on
Kill app back button on

Display:
Automatic brightness off (I'm using Brightness Level widget)
Black wallpaper (search for solid black.png from wikipedia)
Sleep after 1 minute of inactivity.
Pulse notification light off.

Trebuchet options:
Scroll wallpaper off

Sync settings:
Google account
Sync calendar on
Sync Contacts on
Sync Gmail on
Whattsapp account:
Sync Contacts on

Sound Settings:
Touch sounds off
Screen lock sounds off
Vibrate on touch off

Location services:
Google's location service on
Location & Google search on
(Gps satellites on only when using Sygic or Maps)

Date and time:
Automatic date & time off
Automatic time zone off

CyanogenMod Settings app v1.0:
Interface Settings/Expanded view widget
Toggle 2G/3G checked
Toggle Mobile data checked
For a quick switch to 2G mode and save more battery.

Testing "twek levels and filtering" in automatic backlight settings.

With Titanium Backup:
Frozen all live wallpapers, tts services and uninstalled Gtalk and mail.
P.S. Be careful, you need debug usb on when using Titanium Backup

Data on all the day. I turn it off when I go to bed.
Wireless on when I'm home and need to use dropbox or download a big file from my Gmail account.

I'm using CM9 01062012 (I know, there's a new one, but I've reached a very stable daily rom, no FC, no random reboots, fast and smooth).
Modem XXKL1

Now my battery lasts two days.
Well, when my girlfriend tells me stories about her life, it lasts one day and a half.

Important:
I've uninstalled Facebook app which was causing a battery drain. I'm using the mobile web page instead and I've to tell that it is faster.

Other apps installed:
Twitter, Maps, Sygic, Whattsapp, Beatiful widgets (with manual weather update), Xda premium, ...

Anyone that use CM9 and complain have battery drain fast u can use this tip i get from xda forum, with this tips my battery drain only 20 - 30% for 12 hours and can last for 1 day smile.gif

Oh cpu scaling and stuff ah you need to use scripts. I think only siyah can change those parameters neak cannot.

Thunderbolt main scripts and its screen state scaling scripts is a good example. If its too complicated you can make your own script. Ondemand parameters can change with setcpu.

Very slightly thicker. Comes with new back cover. Most casing wont fit. Be warned if you use hard casing. Soft casing may still fit.

Guys i have a problem with my sgs2 white G version. Bought a month ago.

1) When i browse the internet sometimes it just freeze, need to wait around a minute before the phone can response.
2) Camera hang, there was one time it hanged i just left it in my bag for 20 minutes, took it out, the phone was extremely hot.
3) The buttons are not very responsive especially the back button.

I did a factory reset already a couple of times, and took out the memory card. But the same problem still happens.

What should i do? send to claim warranty?

@pikachu can I install thunderbolt on sgs2 on cm9?

Some addons can't work. The main CWM, LMK and screenstate_scaling should be able to work. Not the others. As always, nandroid first!

What is the cheapest clear sp and yet very good, in terms that the plastic will stick to the phone and won't come off after a few months. I have not come across any cheap sp that will turn yellowish or turn colour. Currently I hv the matte one, but the view is not that nice. Like I can see a lot of small little pixels, which I don't really like.

If I peal off my matte sp, can i keep it for other use?

Added on January 15, 2012, 10:18 pmThere are a few errors appearing on the front page, can these be rectify?

Under Post #4, FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS - PART 2
3. Which is a better backup solution : Nanddroid backup or Titanium Backup. Or is there any other backup apps better than these two ?

First of all , Nandroid Backup is NOT an app. You will have an option of a FULL backup of your phone as it is condition at time of backup using a BACKUP choice in ClockworkMod recovery. Your backup here is often called a Nandroid backup . All your phone's data, apps, settings, roms, kernel etc is FULLY 100 % backup, Under this ClockworkMod recovery you will also have option to RESTORE 100 % the phone status
<<<< Read post #4 on rom section to know more about recovery and Clockworkmod recovery>>>>

4. I cannot view the names of my Chinese songs in the music player - it all turns out gibberish
Sub 5) after the selection, go on to tools (at the top row) -> options -> tags -> mpeg -> select ID3v2.4 UTF-8 instead of UTF-16.
