anyone can teach me how to sync contact to gmail? i think i ald sync it under setting>sync>gmail for both contact and calender, but i can see the event of calender in gmail but the contact is empty~~

coz most of us use checkrom or turkbey

I am using the first one by Ritesh Sahu. Used it for over a year never failed me before. Even transfer SMS from my HD2 to SGS2 without fail. I even bought the paid version.

I have also used the sms sync that iori mentioned before. Also works well. But in the end i just stick with SMS Backup and Restore.

I used Go Sms..can backup (save in your internal sd) and also send the backup to your mail.

i just use the sms backup function in go-sms

does the list of your contact exist in your gmail account? try open your gmail in your computer and go to the 'Contact' menu.

Yes its popular. Hyperdroid chef is very popular since his HD2 days. I only use his rom then.

For SGS2, his rom seems complicated for new users with its numerous tweaks, surgeons etc. Do they have a kitchen? If not it will be more tedious to use that rom.

And from my experience with SGS2 custom rom, I find most of it is the same. Tweaks etc. does not make much difference as most custom rom have it anyway. So in the end, I just find the one with a nice theme and use it. Plus thunderbolt script and tweaks is already sufficient for any rom.
