Because no data still can use offline apps, play games, use GPS, read eBooks, take notes, take good pics, watch movie, listen to songs, or whatever. You sure this is not fully utilizing the phone, and 3310 is up to the job?

sitrep: looking for 1k android, but all recommend galaxy nexus, galaxy s2, etc etc which was overbudget or else galaxy s, xperia arc, nexus s which was kinda... 2010 tech

thanks for the recommendations but my budget really is 1k max. and finally i end up with the xperia sola.

^off topic ady [IMHO] regrding data plan but according to my personal exp. i'm better off with data plan. i've use android without data plan and there's always time when you want data connection but you can't, especially on-the-go. and as for wifi i don't think it's safe when there's a lot of IT faculty university trainees within the same wifi environment (hint:sniffing) for me. doing stuff offline do not fully utilize android phone, better off with an ipod touch (699 only). wanna make calls then take out das 3310

beside that, use smartphone not only to surf internet, can also play game, use the offline gps and bla bla bla

overall sola is better, but screen smaller and dun hav front camera, better camera and NFC
else S advance if you prefer bigger screen, got front camera

I have unlimited data also disable data. If not, batt drain like crazy. Switch it back on when needed

u are using iphone 4s ?

using this iphone 4s before but switch back to 4 coz of the battery issue..used pull mail and battery drain like waterfall

still prefer iphone 4 better than 4s....

but its a waste if u unlimited plan and dont fully use it

I'm looking for a new phone for my dad..
He prefers Samsung..
I never used Samsung in my life before so I don't know much about it..
I've been asking around and it came down to these 3 models..

Samsung Galaxy S Advance / Samsung Galaxy S II / Samsung Galaxy Note

Can anyone suggest which is better or got new model to suggest..
My dad use mainly for calls, messaging, web surfing, photo & video..

2. Budget: the cheaper the better. <rm500
3. Specs: using as backup phone. so just usual features will do (sms/call/email/whatsapp/line). no need to run super high end game/apps

no google support on OS. so far only nexus phone is supported. eg: old HTC/Samsung phone didnt receive any OTA update for 4.0 OS

alooo..i am new here...can sifu tell me which s2 is more better 'g' or non 'g' version is good..i am still confius about this 2model...now at shop,the seller just sell 'g' version only...tq
