QUOTE(Genexil @ Nov 11 2015, 11:29 PM) Yeah, I heard many ppl have good experience with Illegear or Cyberforge. I'm considering either Cyberforge S-15(RM5379 DOS GTX 970M) a bit over budget btw, Gigabyte P55K v4(RM4899 GTX 965M), or MSI GE62 Apache (RM5099 GTX 965M). Dilemma is either GTX 965M or 970M since gtx970m is slightly over budget... then gtx965m shud be fine.. but reliability of da brand... and long term use i think 970 is much way better to invest... as few hundreds dffrnt..

Anyone here have info on the difference between the NVidia GTX 980M 4GB v Nvidia GTX 980M 8GB? The 4GB is on the alienware 15 and the 8GB is on the aluenware 17. Read 1 forumer overseas commented that the 4GB version is soldered onto the motherboard with the CPU and is not a standalone MXM kind of card therefore its performance suffers. Just want to get this clarified.

I found some information which maybe useful for those not sure to pick GTX 960M, 965M, 970M or 980M. I myself pick 970M (mine is 6GB VRAM edition) as I find it is the most valuable GPU which let you play Ultra Setting in Full HD for nearly all games.

May i ask what does pipeline, core speed, vram and memory interface indicate? I am considering to get an illegear with either 965m or 970m for games, mostly high setting no need ultra, movie editing, and presentations with connection to projector, and sometimes online conference thingy. I supposed 965m can handle those properly, or should just get 970m for more application support in case needed? 980m unfortunately is totally out of budget.
