QUOTE(digilife @ Jul 3 2012, 06:13 PM)
Sometimes QoS is just a guide of what speed you would get but not necessary tied you to the maximum or minimum

I have a simcard that only have QoS of 2048/2048 ( some regulars would knoe which simcard i am referring to, esp KKW )

During "normal operating hours" on a Icon505M/E372, i get mostly speed of abt 2Mbps ( rated QoS )

But during "graveyard shift hours" i get 5Mbps on a Icon505M

How do you conclude that QoS will tied you to a certain speed range?

However when i use my simcard of QoS 16000/8640 on a E372 during "graveyard shift hours" i only max out at 9Mbps and not 16Mbps?

Agreed notworthy.gif

Anyway SKMM and some SIM is fully capped on 8640

Even on graveyard shift hours, only 7mb+

somehow,i did see people posting speedtest and IDM transfer rate screenshot which exceeding 8640Kbps download speed.particularly when used DC HSPA+ devices such as new ipad.some of them get 13Mbps download speed

at first it's hard to believe then i saw lots of people got that >8640kbps speed using maxis skmm.so untung maaa.bayar rm25 dapat speed tgggi sweat.gif sweat.gif

Performance to Price ratio = No, E367 have a better performance on a lower price

Features to Price ratio = Yes, E355 include features as a router + modem with decent performance

ipad III is a DC HSPA+ device, so speed of 21Mbps is possible on Maxis and Umobile's Network now

Maxis/Umobile on Huawei E372 is possible to get speed of 21Mbps currently at selected location currently, if your QOS is 42000/8640(maxis) / 42000/5760(UM)

yeahh.i know that.we all know that maxis skmm is capped at 8640kbps.then how come they can get 13Mbps.im holding to this theory.when a sim is capped at a speed like 8640kbps,no matter what device he's using, including DC HSPA device,he will get that speed.not more than that.or is it depend on area?

im quite confuse though rclxub.gif rclxub.gif

my conclusion is that, when there is not much users during a particular time, you will fully utilise the network capability as i used to clock over 2048kbps on that 2048/2048 simcard when using it in my HTC Flyer which have a rated Speed of HSDPA 14.4 Mbps, HSUPA 5.76 Mbps
