Anyone here using Huawei Mifi Modem E5830? how is it?

ANyone has start to used Huawei E355 modem cum router ?

I do but not so serius yet...

lousy, tossed it aside already..........

Silightly higher latency compared to E367
Maybe because the 3G to Wifi transmitting

Good wifi signal, will provide comparison over a actual router soon. But the signal is really nice for device such small

As for speed, E367 is slightly faster

Wil provide speedtest image as now only have SKMM , my maxisbb will be back on Monday or Tuesday

My Mifi MF60 will be like too...

Here my quick test for E355:
Umobile: - average is Selayang area 9 - 10 Mbps, in KL area 6 - 7 Mbps.
Maxis:- hard to get more than 5Mbps.. but this morning during breakfast near to Jalan Sultan Ismail, I get 7111kbps. I going to test when I back to hometown next week... I should get a better results there.

Functionality:
The best ever to use... after plug in to notebook, straight away can use (no need to enable wifi on notebook)... no need to open any software like Mobile Partner...
Use usb adapter or powerbank - the connection to 3G and wifi enabled in less than 1 minutes...
In car... work well with any usb adapter I have... never try using usb on HU... don't have it.

Connect to Xperia phone OTG won't work... no enough power. Will test on galaxy tab when I have the connector later.

If you use Maxis SKMM... speedtest to Maxis only, don't eat any quota...

One of the best feature of E355 is it make itself into a LAN adapter after installing a small tweak. Then, any management can be done in the web interface.

This could be an advantage or disadvantage as no more advanced MDMA or fine tweaking but some serious tweaking like port forwarding or advance router function is available

Which is a better/stable modem : E173 or MF190 ?

Both are just 7.2 mbit modem
Having a E173 before and it's very stable, no comment regarding ZTE Mf190

E173 is better in the case of u ca use MDMA to tweak the frequency and check your signal since MDMA dont support ZTE MF190
