Insight and Prius C have tax exemption so they get to sell cheaper. Forte and Cruze both under Naza. You see even SantaFe using Inokom logo is more expensive than the fully imported Sorento with Kia's logo. So maybe they are trying to get better pricing because Elantra suppose to be a high volume car compared to SantaFe.

For those bashing Sime Darby for delaying, maybe you missed what I said earlier, but government hasn't approve the pricing for the Elantra that Sime Darby submited donkey months ago.

Why the hold up? Ask the government, I am not one of their cronies.

For those wondering why other cars can do it, I am just going to say cronyism in Malaysia is not limited to relation between GLCs and government. Someone out there is making a lot of noise about competitors' car priced too close to theirs, SD is on the receiving end.

If this has everything to do with gohmen protecting potong & naza then during GE topple the current regime and hope the new gohmen will give less protection and favoritism to national cars. after 30 years it is amazing that potong still can't be competitive enough and need to rely on cronies to protect them. what a joke.
