QUOTE(Galant @ Mar 22 2012, 05:48 PM) Hi guys. I've been reading the forums and decided to begin some workouts. I was hoping you guys can help me out on something. What kind of pain is it? A sharp pain or just plain soreness like any other bodypart would feel from DOMS? Also, it could be the camera angle, but your hips look to be a bit high at the beginning of the movement. It also looks like you're starting off with your back instead of the hips. It's not a lot, but you can fix that by starting with the hips a bit lower. Remember to push your chest out and drive into the ground with your heels.I did some deadlifting (6 times of 5 reps x 40kg, around 2 mins rests in between) and was having some sores on my lower back. Before this there was no problem when i was doing it with 20kg. So I think perhaps there's something wrong with my form. I've gone through the stickies, mark rippetoe videos etc but there might be mistakes that I didn't notice with my form. Do you guys mind correcting me? Below is the link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c63PfDlgYfQ I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this, but since i saw DL posting his deadlifting video, so I might as well. Thank you in advance! QUOTE(bata @ Mar 22 2012, 06:25 PM) Looking good, bro. Nice Vibrams. |

QUOTE(Galant @ Mar 22 2012, 10:01 PM) Appreciated your feedback. I just started barely a month ago, so I'm the total newbie No problem. Also, since you've just started out, it's quite normal to experience DOMS. I'd say go slow with poundage increments until proper form becomes somewhat second nature to you.Just plain soreness, so I guess for now its just plain old DOMS at the lower back. Anyway I'm taking precaution against potential serious problems such as herniated disc etc in the future, hence I want to get the form right by consulting you guys. I'll keep your pointers in mind for the next session! Thanks, dan |

Konstantinovs rounds his upper back to reduce the distance he has to make the bar travel. If you watch his lifts, you'll realize that his lower back doesn't round. But really, it's because he knows what he's doing. IMO, concentrate on just keeping the back tight and pushing your chest out. Stuff like minimizing the distance traveled by the bar is useful, if you're a competitive powerlifter.

QUOTE(x-199Tx @ Mar 29 2012, 11:57 AM) Hey all chaps Frickin massive chest and arms, man. Definite gains in the arms. Bodyfat too It's been a long time and it's going to be another update for me. I've measured it last 2 weeks ago. Last measure is 18in Edit* Current weighing at 104. Previous pic was <100. Bout 92 if I'm right. I know the weight went where. Curious, are you right hand-dominant? Could be the lighting/angle but the left arm seems a little smaller? QUOTE(AccelTech @ Mar 29 2012, 03:18 PM) Need advice on how to get the line on my chest. Been working out on incline and benching but no avail. Do i need to take supplements? What lines are you talking about? If you mean a line down the center, you need a bigger chest. QUOTE(x-199Tx @ Mar 29 2012, 10:28 PM) Currently running around 185? Strange indeed! That's the weird part. Unfortunately I'm left hand dominant. But my right arm gain is more than my left. Not so sure why. Weirdest part is I don't do arms exercises like curls or anything but not so sure why it affects. Yeah supplements helping me to improve. Currently going to 3rd tub, myofusion And since the last I saw you dan, you're looking huge yourself man. Measurements running at?? I'm seeing all the oldies here doing well ~ Lol, man, I'm a skinny ass mofo compared to you! |

Don't see the problem really. Bodybuilders are in thongs and nobody says anything. It's all about physique progress in here, let's just keep it at that, eh?

Been trying to bring up the traps and rear delts recently. Also doing more unilateral stuff, ie dumbbells/HS most of the time to try and get the left arm to catch up with the right.

I suppose only your friend himself will know the truth. But hey, natural or not is beside the point to me. He's got the commitment to improve his physique so props for that.

QUOTE(titan-x @ May 14 2012, 09:31 PM) Thanks bro... Now struggling with cutting. I underestimate it before... Haha... Now leg trembling doing 5 times cardio per week + high reps lifting. A bit of advice, keep the weights heavy, even on a cut. There's no need to use a really high rep range.Bulking over 5 years... Too slow IMHO. Anyway thanks bro. Will update again this month end. Thanks bro. For my case I feel cutting much difficult than bulking... Of coz looks much different bro... 5 years time from 55kg to 90kg (early of Feb). Now almost 86kg |

QUOTE(mikehuan @ May 22 2012, 03:47 PM) if you meant the steel members to hold the weights, yes the owner has modified to a longer horn lol. and if that does not work... LOL, just another day in the gym for them.» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « kinda good, doesnt stress the knees, though shorter people have a problem with it as the starting position is kinda high up. ROM is quite short though IMO. at the bottom position your thighs are literally pressed against your chest. HS machines has a bigger ROM, imo and the lack of incline makes it harder too (which is a good thing) |
