Anyway , PMR brings back so many memories when I think of it .
You can read through both of my PMR threads with loads of information ( there are some unnecessary chatters as well but it is completely normal ) and you can actually read , from my posts that I was a bit worried back then .

Turns out , after all the effort I got straight A's for PMR 2011 . A memorable event for me , although PMR is nothing compared to other examinations .

If you have any questions regarding PMR , please , do PM me and I will try to answer all your questions . Don't fret over it , just relax and study consistently ( at least a couple of hours each day , including holidays and weekends ) . You'll do just fine .

Oh look, there's the PMR thread. I was wondering where it was.

Science Form 3 has quite a lot of Physics related chapters in it. Not many Chemistry related chapters. Form 3 Sejarah is quite interesting in my opinion. As for Maths, watch out for Indices. I'm not trying to scare you but I had a little trouble understanding it two years ago.

I wanted to say that PMR is a very easy examination and there's nothing to worry about but it's no use, you guys are going to worry anyway. It's normal.

Don't study hard, study smart.

Lol I also lazy do my hw but after see happy berry comment I was like ,Oh btw I need help I can teach me how to memorize all the science facts

Bout to finish my HW, now come here relax 1st.

Irfan, I havent started studying for PMR yet but last year I used the classic method of memorising..worked for me. Just look through few times + understand and focus hard, later on it masuk otak edi. Not sure bout u, but I find this easier than figuring out methods to memorize.

For you to memorise the facts, you must first understand them. Except for Biology(cells related part). heh.

is it like in a cell, there is chloroplast, cell wall, nucleus etc? if take bio in f4, your brain will be f*** even harder cos you're going to learn deeper and find out what the f*** is inside chloroplast.

Its not that hard just buy any buku rujukan from local bookstore and copy it

For Science , I would strongly discourage memorisation . Because you don't need to . If you memorise , there is a high probability that you'll forget them later after PMR , and hence , you'll have trouble in form 4 .

Understanding is a better choice .
And yes , TechnoG is right - make sure that you have a solid foundation for your Maths , since you'll be using all of the formulas/concepts/problem solving methods in Add Maths and Maths later on , like factorisation , expanding algebraic expressions, indices [ exponents ] , geometry , trigonometry , transformation , linear and simultaneous equations and so on .

Post some questions and we seniors will try to help .

We [ 2011 PMR candidates ] were the last batch to use the old literature components for both English and Bahasa Melayu . I'll have to tell you , some of them are quite mundane ... The worst part is that all of them were tragic novels . Most of them involved death , and not to forget our current form 4 novel [ Papa ] , which is also a polygamy and tragic novel . *facepalm*

Sup. New member at lowyat here :V And also a PMR candidate for this year too and i wanna ask. If i didn't come for a day in PMR like for chinese or other optional subject and get a TH (Tidak Hadir) would it affect which side i go when i am at form 4?

As long as you cover all the syllabus. For sure you can, i also played dota for the whole day at F1 and F2. But i got constant revision and ensure got 80 % above.
F3 got it all covered !

Better you discuss with you teacher back

Once you've registered for the subject , you are not encouraged to be absent on the day of the examination and get a TH on your result slip .

I study in Tuition Never tution before for like 15 years until now.
Gotten 3A 4C in UPSR Target 8A in PMR.
Plus tutors were paid to teach me.
